Suggestions Needed and Crazy 8's

I have been meaning to ask the Internets these questions for some time now ....

  • Anyone know a good breakfast bar with fruit in it that does not contain loads of sugar? Can I make my own with less sugar? Ya'know like these. MT loves this concept and I loathe the sugar overload ..Am I being too wacky?

  • Are you still putting your 12+ month old in footy pajama's? How long can/do you do this?

  • Any one's child waking up in the morning with bumps that look like mosquito bites on them? Maybe hives? I have no idea what/how he gets these on him. It seems like every few days, Some fade and More appear ... He doesn't itch or bother them ..they just bother me because I cannot figure out how they get on him. He got some a few days ago and they look like hives actually but they do not go away for a few days. Maybe more allergies I just haven't figured out yet. Yes, he has clean sheets, I dunno, Sign me up for MOTY.

Thank you for not flogging me for my last post. I am trying to be gentle with myself.. feel what I feel and move on. My OB's office forgot to prick my finger for the NT test while I was there, So I have to go back for that tomorrow. It will be alil while longer for the results.

Tag

I've been tagged! Nurse Lochia tagged me, and here are the rules
1. Link to the person who tagged you
2. Post the rules to your blog
3. Write 6 random things about myself
4. Tag 6 people at the end of your post and link to them
5. Let each person you have tagged know by leaving a comment on their blog.
6. Let the tagger know when your entry is posted.

1- I am not the mother I thought I would/planned to be. I have mentioned this before. It STILL amazes me, the things I find myself doing, researching and saying. I see the looks in people faces or the tone in their voices when I say things now that contradicted my previous opinion/stance. I usually try and defend myself or explain why/how I have changed. Sometimes, I just throw in a chuckle at laugh at myself because This Woman/Mother is not at all who I had imagined me to be. I like this new woman. I like her alot. I feel calm, I feel Freedom, I feel contentment. These are things I have longed for. I am going to enjoy these feelings for as long as they last.

2- My house is never organized. Now, It is driving me crazy. I was not an overly organized person to begin with but now all i want to do in my spare time is straighten, organize and downsize. My vacuum cleaner was not doing a job to my liking, so I pitched it and got a new one. I have cats, I want the floor clean when I lay a blanket on the floor for my child to lay on. It was driving me insane. (more things to add to the list of what i never cared about before)

3- I wish I had a bigger kitchen. One day I am going to take a picture of our closet sized kitchen (no, I am not exaggerating). It is ridiculous. It makes me so hate cooking because of lack of counter space and cabinet space. My dream home will have a HUGE eat in kitchen

4- I watched the whole series of 90210 from start to finish recently. It was being replayed on the Soap Channel. Every day for 10 months, my tivo recorded 2 episodes a day. ( It just started over again Tuesday - If you are interested) Should I admit that? too late

5- I desperately need new ring tones. I have had the same ones for well over a year and I am tired of listening to them ... taking suggestions
General Ringtone - 1234 Feist
Hubby - The Way I am Ingrid Michaelson

6- In my organizing, cleaning spree, I found and rolled over $350 in change (holy pennies) and took it to the bank.

If you want, Tag you're it.

Wanna see a cute boy? Of course you do.

Lot's of Pinks

Thank you for not flogging me yesterday with my worries. I appreciate being somewhat understood. It's nice. I tell ya what is also so nice, seeing so many new comments from so many great blogs. I can't wait to check up on all the new visitors. It is so refreshing to see comments start flowing again.

Any moms out there with P.Co.S who breastfed. I am reading in a few books and articles, (another, more .. think you get my point) lately that PC.OS patients have a low milk supply due to a few things - but Met.formin Helps? Is there any truth behind this? If so I'm so going to be very pushy at my next appointment. Any one know anything about this? I think I may try and call a lactation consultant. yes/no?

For the pregnant FL/So. GA bloggers, You must go register here. I received a a great book on parenting and bundles of coupons for buy one get one free baby, pregnancy related items.

Here is a 20, 29, 35 week Picture all in the same shirt.

Sara gave me a Photobucket . How Sweet is she.

Here’s what to do:

1. On your blog, copy and paste the award, these rules, a link back to the person who selected you, and a link to this post: You will find the story behind the Pink Rose Award here and other graphics to choose from there. (It's really such a sweet story)
2. Select as many award recipients as you would like, link to their blogs (if they have one), and explain why you have chosen them.
3. Let them know that you have selected them for an award by commenting on one of their posts.
4. If you are selected, pass it on by giving the Pink Rose Award to others.
5. If you find that someone you want to nominate has already been selected by someone else, you can still honor them by posting a comment on their award post stating your reasons for wishing to grant them the award.
6. You do not have to wait until someone nominates you to nominate someone else.

I nominate:
Pam for her beautiful blog/writing skills. She often leaves me just wanting more.
Janna for her heart.
Amanda for helping me get through the day.
JJ for all that she does for this IF community and her giving spirit.
Mel for her honesty
Seussgirl for her outpouring support (and because I am going to be emailing her lots of questions soon)
Jen for her ideas and getting the Cent. FL Bloggers together.

Remember you can nominate someone for this w/o being nominated. But if you are commenting on my blog, consider yourself Nominated because w/o you I'd have no way of knowing my supporters/cheerleaders. This (to me) is what it's all about. Making your support known. Keep it up and pass it along.

Tag, your it!

Anla tagged me

The rules:
1) Link to the person who tagged you (see above).
2) Post the rules.
3) Share six non-important things / habits / quirks about yourself.
4) Tag at least three people.
5) Make sure the people you tagged KNOW you tagged them by commenting what you did.

Six non-important things about me:

1. I absolutely LOVE Star$'s coffee - haven't had it in 23 weeks

2. I am the only person on the planet that Has not seen the ha.rry pot.te.r or Lo.rd o.f the Ri.n.gs movies. (both of which my husband loves)

3. I have a pet turtle named Mr. Turtle (how does one know if a turtle is male or female - we just call him a he - always have).

4. I am Crafty - but not crafty is a sense of creating something with yarn. I never learned to sew, knit, cross stitch, etc. I enjoy trying to learn. I

5. I have always wanted to be an event planner or own my own bakery. Anyone ever seen "Wh.at ab.out Br.ian" where they go into business and make cupcakes. THAT is my dream job!

6. I laugh/giggle or grin when I am nervous, embarrased or put on the spot.

I tag anyone that needs something to distract them - or give them a reason to blog! (hint hint: Baby Moxie - I miss you)

Tagged

Brown-Eyed Girl tagged me so here it goes:

1 - I am a tv show watcher. Most likely, If you think the show is awful, I watch it. D.irt, The H.il.ls, N.ip/Tu.ck, Gos.sip Gi.rl, Di.rty S.exy Mo.ney, We.eds, Ver.on.ica M.ars, O.ne Tr.e Hil.l Seasons 1 -3, Bi.g L.ove ..etc. I have seen just about every reality tv show - I dunno why, I am drawn to drama and catty-ness. (aka Ke.eping u.p with the Ka.rdas.heins, LA Ink) Throw in a NYC or California Glam show in the mix and I all about it. I did watch the B.rett Mic.haels Ro.ck of L.ove. WOW was that ever entertaining. One of the more entertaining shows also is Ta.lk So.up.. I highly suggest this show if you like to make fun of reality TV and some celebs. However Gi.lm.ore G.irls is my favorite tv show ever. I own the box sets and they have been played numerous times. ( now that I have scared many people.. let's continue)

2- I recently found a love for reading. ANYTHING. I never was into reading as a child. I loved a book or two read to me but that was only at bedtime so I could stay up longer. As I got older it never "fit in my schedule" or was "boring". Getting involved in the Barren Book Club has really opened my eyes and broadened my horizons. (and I love getting suggestions from other bloggers that have been reading for a long time because you guys have the best book ideas)

3- SOCKS - I love funky, wild, non matching socks. And I will wear 2 different sock, just because. It makes me smile when I look down.

4- If we do get to be re-incarnated, I would like to be a dolphin.

5- I long to move to a colder state - I have tried and tried to suggest NC (or GA) for a few yrs now. One day, I will win out

I know i am supposed to do more .. but I can't think anything else interesting. I am just a boring open person that will share WAY TMI most of the time ;) So if you want to know something, just ask! Oh and btw the way, I met a blogger today. She is REAL and I love her. Courtney is so inviting and warm. I felt as if i had known her forever! Pure, genuine soul! Now I have to come visit you in passing throughs (and our husbands graciously suffered through lunch with us) Have a safe flight Home Girl. Can't wait to see those Cruise pics.

speaking of spices

Stolen from Caro

You scored 75% intoxication, 50% hotness, 50% complexity, and 50% craziness!

You are Cardamom! Not many people know you. You're kind of sweet, subtle, and maybe even shy. You're definitely understated and totally underrated. But once people get to know you, they can't get enough. You touch some esoteric, ancient place deep inside people and they love you for it.

Spice of Life

WOW- I made it through NaBloPoMo. This was my first attempt. During the Holiday it was a bit rough. I am glad I stuck it out. I met a few other bloggers through it. I like the randomizer function.

Thank you for the many food suggestions. I have made a list of them and I am going to the grocery store later to stock up. I am having a hard time mostly preparing the food .. then eating it. I need to make larger quantities for that .. cook less have more prepared items. It's good to see what everyone is eating. They say variety is the spice of life... keep the food ideas coming.

What book am I

i can't get the "what book are you" to post right but i have to share ..It's pretty accurate (except for the brilliant thing and Id like to think i signify something) :

You're The Sound and the Fury!by William Faulkner.Strong-willed but deeply confused, you are trying to come to grips with a major crisis in your life. You can see many different perspectives on the issue, but you're mostly overwhelmed with despair at what you've lost. People often have a hard time understanding you, but they have some vague sense that you must be brilliant anyway. Ultimately, you signify nothing.

Tomorrow, Odds decrease more

I will be 31 tomorrow. Who would have thought that I would have to race against time?!?!?! My husband is finally gotten very cheerful and hopeful for this cycle. He has added alot more of himself emotionally into this cycle more than any other cycle. I dunno if it's because he is changing work shifts and it will be more difficult to perform sexy-times on demand, or the new discovery of ovulating, or the reality of the $$'s that IUI's are going to cost us if our Clom.id cycles do not provide us with a BFP. Our insurance does not cover IUI's. When we discussed how much each procedure was going to be for a IUI, I could see the "HOLY SHIT ARE YOU KIDDING ME" look on his face. He panicked. My husband is very frugal and buying fruit that is already cut up is a struggle for him to understand. He does not "encourage convenience for dollars". What ever that means... Ok back to the reasoon I am posting: I just wanted to share the text messages that have been going through our cellphone service over the past few days:

From E: C'mon uterus 6 more days til POAS
My response: Hahahahah you are cracking me up ..but seriously Uterus better be on our team

From E:I hope the boobs are feeling more plumb and sore
My response: Some moments yes , some moments No .. still holding out that it is a good sign

Me: 5 more days to go
E's Response: GO GO Uterus

Things that autofill in my cell phone: Clom.id, Prog.esterone, HCG, dildo-cam, Uterus, Bloodwork, needles, metformin, ovulating, boobs, implant(ation), swimmers, spermies, eggs, follies, ..etc
Entertain me, what are some words that autofill from your cell phone text messages?

Farah Needs

  1. needs another brazilian - (WHOA- never had 1 actually - thought about it)
  2. needs a good paying fun job! - ( WAY TOOO TRUE)
  3. needs to talk with a keen

I could only do 4 because I have a weird name and apparently there is a Joseph Farah who is a writer and apparently he pisses people off - so most of the Farah needs was something negative about his writing abilities.

What I do after a post like yesterday

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

That's right - a pedicure !! It felt very nice to just sit in a massaging chair and read for 40 mins !

ALSO,
Resolve must have heard my prayers and screams because they are FINALLY starting a group in Tampa in July. Here is the information:
The
Tampa, FL Peer-Led Support Group meets the second Wednesday of every month from 7PM-9PM beginning July 11. The July meeting will feature Kathy Foundatin, MS, LMHC, on the topic of "Coping with the stress of infertility." For more information or to RSVP, please call 727.612.0573.

THIS IS FABULOUS NEWS. It also just may have saved me $650 because I contacted the leader a few months ago (before i started this blog) and she and another woman lead a mind/body group for infertile couples but my husband and I figured that $650 was alittle out of our price range for therapy. So that is why I started the blog in the first place - to save my sanity and $650 for actual treatments instead eof group therapy.

I also saw that Teamwinks is starting a up a Resolve group in Huntsville, Alabama. Here is that information: The Huntsville, AL Peer-Led Support Group meets the third Wednesday of every month at 6PM to discuss topics on general infertility. For more information or to RSVP, please contact Becky at armsforanangel@yahoo.com.

THANK YOU!! Thank you very much for the kind and generous comments left on my blog today. I didn't realize that it was the first day for the Commentathon and slightly embarrassed that was a first post for some of you to read. I hope it doesn't run you off. I promise, there is a lot of fun had too. It was very nice tosee all the comments on my blog, I love meeting/reading about new people! Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Random Factoids about Me

Kelly tagged me so ..here is goes

1. I am almost 31 and can not see scary movies. It totally messes with my head and does something to my soul. (one in my profession would think that I could be tougher than a 4 yr old- but ANY type of Scary (not suspense) is WAY too much for me to handle.

2. I have been wanting a tattoo since I was 16 and have not gotten one yet, but already have the design and spot, just need to get the gumption.

3. My dream job would be to own/operate a bakery/cafe. Where people could come and enjoy baked goods, coffee, good books, and shared times with friends/loved ones.

4. I am blessed with an amazingly loving family. My family has been challenged over the past year + and we are struggling (all in different areas) but are all learning the same lesson. It has allowed us to grow in more ways than I could ever imagine. I am truly grateful for every obstacle that we(I) have jumped through. It is a testament of my(our) faith.

5. I grew up in a very small Greek cultured community. I know there is a ,as we referred to it growing up, "American Easter and a Greek Easter". So we got 2 Easters usually. (i dunno why we aren't greek) BUT, I can pronounce Baklava, Spanakopita, Tzatziki sauce, Gyro, Calamari, etc. with the accent - and I have friends that had to eat their Pet for Greek Easter .................. TRAUMATIZING. They taught us the greek language in elementary public school

6. I had 2.75 ovaries. I found that out Sept. 06 while doing my Lap. Still to this day totally wigs me out. The Dr removed .75 of an ovary that was blocking (read-inside the opening of my)right Fal. Tube. I have pictures! She was SURE that I would be pregnant in no time after that ..... It's June 07 and 4 rounds of clomid later with no ovulation

7. I have been to the equator - such an amazing place to visit. I should post pics. In college, I went on a missions trip/vacation all over Equador. I would move there in a moments notice.

8. I never thought I would end up back in the same town I spent years trying to get out of and swore I would never come back ........... never say never
