I left work feeling rejuvenated, accomplished, strong, nervous, excited, fulfilled, brave, scared. Just plain overwhelmed

I went to the grocery store, bought loads of fresh veggies/fruits and food for the week. Came home, made/ate dinner. Made a batch of baby food. Cleaned the kitchen. I mean deep cleaning. Scrubbed the floor. On.My.Hands.and.Knees. Toothbrush in hand. Vacuumed, Dusted, etc.

I'm thinking nervous energy, relief, anticipation, wanting everything organized, Straightened, Clean, calm, Controlled? I have had the need to clean for months now, but I lacked the want/ability. Today, the need/want/ability took hold. I haven't felt that in the longest time. I am not sure I remember ever working a full day and coming home to take on a task as I did tonight. Weird ...Good... Odd

What about you?

Congratulations on your new-found freedom! I know things can be hard while you're at home (until you find another job or otherwise), but it sounds like you made the right decision for you. Good luck in your next step, and enjoy your time home! :)

man, i love to clean like that. i'll do projects like that from time to time-but only specific projects. and only because we have house cleaners.

Changes sometimes come with some sort of uncertainty and I guess this is what makes us nervous or anxious....

It happens to mee too, but what you are doing has helped me a lot, I try to stay active and focus on the things that need to be done.

...And it is amazing how step by step, day by day everythings start to come into place again. I am sure great things are on the way Fara, keep up the good work!

Hope you had a great, liberating last day! Sounds like you really got after the cleaning - I am jealous! Hope you have a good day today!

Here's to your liberation! I have done thee bizarre clean everything like a mad woman thing. It is a weird thing when it comes on. I like a colgate toothbrush for cleaning pet hair out of base boards. ;)

WOW! It's rare the the want/need/desire fall on the same day/time!! Awesome. I just found the flylady. Do a search and she helps give advice on how to clean things and what order to do it in. Fun stuff!
