AH Sweet Victory!!!!

Today was the start of 1/2 pre.dnis.one and my last pro.ges.tero.ne (which i was taking for mere comfort) and my last me.tfo.rm.in until my OB tests my sugars. I should have those tested in a few weeks. My next appointment is jan 11th and the OB midwife is asking if they want my sugars tested before that appointment. If not i will wait and do the blood test for sp.ina bi.fida and my sugars around 15 weeks. I am really starting to feel my excitement brewing.

Question - food for thought - We rent from a self owned condo, am I supposed to inform my landlard that we are currently "the p word"?

Thanks for the great/wonderful ego boosting comments in the "fam picture". Being a bigger girl - you always seem to have some sort of insecurities ya know ... And to answer Barb's question: YES OMG i so want this baby to have my husband's red hair. Isn't it SO beautiful ?!?!?!!! How could you not ..

I happen to be a big fan of red hair, too. I'm sure it has nothing to do with my own head being full of the suckers. :-P

Serious congrats on the wonderful blood/scan results!!! Hooray!!!

Only two more weeks? I can't wait!! I can only imagine how excited you are, right now!!!!

Congrats on the tests, woohoo! Re the p word, I don't know, what would be the requirement to tell? I can't see why it would matter to the legal side?

WOW - those odds are amazing. I seriously do not think that anyone could ask for better!! Congrats.

I love red hair, too. I am told that one of my great uncles had it and, since I naturally have auburn highlights, I would love if our kids got it.

XOXO

So nice to put a face with a name! You and your hubby are so cute! My hubby also has red hair, gotta love em! I've been trying to figure out if the gene for brattiness goes along with red hair...

Great results!!! That's like an extra christmas present ;) Congrats

Congrats on the tests!! :D Great news!

Of the two times I was PG...we didn't say anything to our landlord as it was not in our contract that children were not allowed. I suppose if you felt better about letting them know, I'd say go for it! =)

Yeah!! Congrats on the fabulous test results! I'm so excited for you!!

I don't think it's necessary to tell the landlord you're expecting. Unless you want to, of course! It's not like you're getting a dog...though sometimes toddlers do way more damage than a dog could! ;-)

As for the pic, I loved it!! Always nice to put a face with a name. And your hubby's hair is beautiful! I wish I had more red in my hair. However my grandmother did have beautiful red hair, so the gene is somewhere in there!

YAY! That is great news about your tests. And I'm with you...I would love for our baby to have red hair. G and I were both very blond as kids, but he has a red beard, do I'm still holding out some hope. :)

I don't think you need to tell the landlord, but you may want to just in case--unless you think it's going to cause more trouble than it's worth.

WOO HOOO on the results!!

hahahaha Farah. He does have that particularly lovely shade. I've seen people with so many different shades of red that it just isn't fair to call it all "red" ya know? Some is more auburn, some more brown, some more orange or yellowy. I like your DH's very much, and that would be cute. Too bad that I think it's a recessive thing. Fingers crossed! Oh, and I think you look just fine. You shouldn't have been scared of us. ;-)

Congrats on your great test results! I'm so happy for you guys!

I love red hair! I had it when I was born until I was about 1 and then went blonde. Anyhow, your test results are awesome. Mine are fine but not nearly as good as yours!!! Congratulations! Can you believe we will be 14 weeks next week!???!

Wonderful, wonderful news, Farah!

I'm so glad to hear such good news about your scan!
My family has some sort of slight recessive red head gene (I'm at least 25% full Irish) but unfortunately I got nothing except the tendency to go carroty when I try to go blond... I hope it comes through for you! Especially if there's curly red hair- that just melts me!

Such fantastic results! WAHOOOO!!!

Congrats on the exciting scan! I don't know about the landlord situation - I don't think they would necessarily need to know. Do you have a lease or some type of legal agreement with them? You could check that and see if it specifies a number of residents the home can have. Good luck with that. :)

woot! What great results!:) That's awesome, and I'm so glad this is going well for you.

About the whole P to the landlord, hmm, not too sure. I guess you could say it's not his/her business, but then again, maybe it is. Sorry, not too much help there.

And P.S. I love red hair too:)

Congratulations on those great test results! SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!

If you don't mind my asking, what are you taking the prednisone for?

I LOVE red hair!! DH has a lot of red hair in his family so maybe somehow we will get lucky. Congrats on the test results. I don't really know what they mean but it sounds like they are good..lol. I thought your picture was lovely, also being a bigger gal, I really hesitate to post a full body picture of me but maybe one day I will be brave enough!

I'm holding out hope for a redheaded baby too. My husband has that straight almost black asian hair so I'm not counting on it. Looks like I might be the lone one! Congrats on the test results. They are a breath of fresh air aren't they?

I surfed on over from another blog - hope you don't mind if I follow your story! =)

I just wanted to say "Congrats" on your BFP.

As for the landlord, that's a good question...I would think they prolly do need to be told at some point...but I am just guessing. Do you think they are going to mind?

Jamee said...

Yay for good test results! I love babies with red hair so I hope you get one too! :)

Chastity said...

Congratulations on the results! That's terrific!!

I don't think you are required to inform your landlord of your pregnancy. Of course you can if you want to, but I wouldn't feel obligated unless you're moving.

Fat Girl said...

I'm very glad your results came out well. Hopefully you're smooth sailing from here on out.

I don't think you need to tell your landlord unless you plan to move out because of the pg. If you think your landlord might have a problem with you having a baby, then it would probably be good for you to start looking for a new place anyway. Just my 2 cents.

What awesome test results! Congrats!!

Ashley said...

SO glad to see your results came back so good! Also, no, you have no reason to inform your landlord. Like pp said, only if your going to be moving.
