I hate to mention this but

Updated: Back from the Dr. I have lost 6 lbs since the last appointment. She was actually able to see/experience the sickness while I was at her office. She has decided to go ahead and diagnose me with having
a case of
H.ypereme.sis Grav.idaru.m for insurance purposes. She says she hopes it is just a mild case and will eventually stop. She gave me two rx's for ph.energan and zof.ran. Hoping they do the trick. Thanks for the wonderful tips and thoughts ...Hope to be back to our regular scheduled events very soon

In the name of honesty. I.AM.Sick. Very Very Sick. Morning Sickness has taken over. It lasts all day and all night. It has been like this for 3-4 days now and I am no longer functioning. E finally couldn't watch me like this anymore so he called the dr this morning. I have an appointment at 1:50pm. I just hope that everything is ok. On top of the all day sick-a-thon, My sinus are pushing on my teeth so bad that I have teeth aches. So between the not wanting to eat because I do not want to see it again, I do not want to eat becuase it hurts my teeth ..... If you are the praying type. I am asking for a lil good thoughts. I am so very worried.

*I deleted the blog coding until I can figure out what to do. Right now, I have a different coding to try and fix. I am just not able to think clearly.

:o( They always say sick momma, healthy baby.

I was HORRENDOUSLY sick when I was pregnant with Tanner. The whole pregnancy. (Not to freak you out, I am just a freak of nature. Who the hell is fertile when fat and infertile when skinny? ME!) They gave me Zofran.

I'm so very sorry that you are feeling so terribly. Good to know that E is watching out for you and getting you set up at the doctor. My thoughts are with you and the little bean. Please let us know what happens today after your appointment, but only if you feel up to it.

ICK. I was horribly sick when pregnant with Lemy and it was rough. They gave me anti-nausea meds and they worked fabulously (I only took them once though since I was on a cruise and the motion sickness was just adding to everything else). Good luck with your appointment! Hopefully you will get some relief soon. ((HUGS))

I am sorry, Honey.

As you know, I had some pretty extreme morning sickness with all of my pregnancies. Here are some things you can try (hope it's not assvice). Often, your OB will not give you meds until you have tried some home remedies. They might also not go for Zofran right away and want you to try phenergan first. It's a lot cheaper. It does work, but it also knocked me out cold because it is so sedating.

1) Crystallized ginger. You can find this in the bulk spice aisle usually. It tastes decent, almost like slightly bitter candy. You can also use it to steep for a tea.

2) A Coke. Yes, I know, it has caffeine, but the syrup will settle your tummy. You can also try to find cola syrup at your pharmacy (not the candy flavoring, but the actual syrup). My OB is the one that recommended the Coke and it worked sometimes.

3) SeaBands. To be honest, I really don't think these worked for me, but some friends have sworn by them.

4) Lemons. Cut a lemon into wedges. You can smell the lemon (that works sometimes) or even bite into it.

5) There might be some random food that actually makes you feel better. For me, it was pears. And Everything bagels with cream cheese. If something does sound good, eat it all of the time and don't worry about anything else, even if it's ice cream or chips.

6) Alcohol wipes. This was a secret given to me by my L&D nurse. Open up the little packet of alcohol wipe and sniff it (maybe check with our OB on this one). I think it works on the same principle as the lemons, but it worked incredibly well for me while I was in labor.

Good luck. Please post on your appointment when you can.

I'm going to predict a girl for you, since you weren't this sick with MT. :)

I hope they can make you feel better also. We are having our party at 1:00. That seems to be when she is at her best "right now". Who knows, that could change by then. I never realized MT's hair went from strawberry blonde to pure blonde.

I am sorry to hear you are so sick. Hopefully the morning sickness doesn't last. Sorry, I missed the annoucement of the new little one on the way. I have been busy with my own new little one who was born April 8th. I was extremely sick during my first trimester with Nathan. It was such a difference than my first pregnancy. With my daughter, I was sick, but nothing like I was this last time. Zofran does work wonders, so hopefully your OB will prescribe some kind of ant-nausea meds for you. Hang in there. I hope you start to feeling better really soon!

I'm so sorry sweetie. (((hugs))) Maybe they'll give you Zofran (hopefully it's something your insurance will cover).

I'm glad that E talked you into calling your doctor.

Praying for you and thinking of you!

Did you have any morning sickness with MT? I couldn't remember.

I am so sorry you aren't feeling well. I hope some meds will help. I have heard Zofran is wonderful for it. I luckily escaped the MS the whole time of being pregnant with AJ.

Let me know how your appt goes.

I am so sorry, sweetie! My 1st trimester with L was so awful, I wanted to die... so many long, sick days that felt like they would never end. But they did! I pray the other side comes sooner rather than later for you. ;)
*hugs*

Argh! This is no good! Do you need anything? Homemade chicken soup or someone to vacuum?

Crap, Farah. HG isn't a good thing at all. I hope the meds do the trick and you are feeling better again shortly.

I'm so glad your doc took such good care of you! I'm sorry your so sick, though. :-( I completely (vividly) understand how you feel....well...maybe not. I wasn't chasing a very active and independent baby with my HG.

I really hope this doesn't last and that you're back to you ASAP!

Hope the all day sickness goes away. My thoughts with you.
I know what you mean about the sinus. I can only imagine getting sick and having a sinus issue.

Good luck.

So sorry you're feeling so sick. I hope the meds do the trick. I know Zofran did wonders for my cousin during her first tri. Hope it has the same effect for you

Zofran early and zofran often, m'dear. The stuff also comes in dissolvable wafers if you don't have those already and can't get a tablet to stick.

Phenergan lovely for lseep too.

Yay for the prescriptions! I used phenergan in the nighttime (when I could sleep) and Zofran during the day when I couldn't. I drove and worked full time while taking it, and didn't feel that it affected my ability to do either.

They have phenergan in suppository forms, and that is less sedating and easier to keep in/down. And the disolvable wafers (tabs) are amazing in the Z.

HUGS.

Oh my!!... I knew pregnancies are different everytime but I never imagined THAT different!...

I really hope the meds do the trick, in the mean while, maybe Ensure can help, very very cold, blended with lots of ice. Try drinking it a little at a time. It is a well balanced drink and has a lot of vitamins. I became an expert on Ensure shakes when I needed to gain weight, so let me know if you are tolerating them and I can give you more ideas.

You will get through it, and it will all be worth it!... Hang in there girl!
