I am undecided still about what to do with my hair. You guys all confirmed my thoughts. "what if the wispy pieces don't go back" or get annoying ... SO I am still going to think on it. I really do think I look more decent with short hair though. See still wavering.
This morning I had to go back to the OB's to check my weight and discuss my situation. I have been able to eat regular food for 2 days now. The zo.fran is helping me feel like a living, breathing human again. I did however lose more weight. 10 lbs in a week since my last visit. She was slightly concerned and reminded me that I need to do my best to eat protein. Being that I think I have this under manageable control now, I am sure I will get back the weight necessary. (and let's not forget I have plenty of weight that I do not think anyone will be able to starve off of me) I am schedule for the NT Scan and another weight/HG check in 2 weeks. I was able to convince the Nurse to try the Doppler this morning. She kept telling me that it was too early, I just wanted her to try. She did and she found the HB within seconds. (I think I am 11.5 weeks - the dr thinks I am 10.5 weeks) whatever .. HB measuring in the 160-170 range. Utter relief to know that I am not feeling well for a living reason!
Blood Pressure was a little elevated but that is because my father was late to pick up MT, I had to call and ask if they could schedule me for a later appointment. Feeding an 11 month old has become one of the most dreaded events lately. It involves lots of flying objects and very few ways to communicate. Followed up by diaper changing as the next. I though we worked through the diaper changing stuff but seems this morning we had to revisit that place ..
I wish I had taken a picture of the coastline I drive up on my way to the dr's because honestly ..It's breathtaking. It's serene and it makes me remember why I live in FL. Here is one I found on the Internet. It's 5+ miles of this to my dr's office. Seeing/smelling the ocean does me good.

I think little in the world compares to hearing that first HB of a little growing being inside you.
I am sure your weather is just as sticky and miserably hot as mine right now (if not more). The ocean must make it considerably more tolerable. I keep reminding myself we have mild winters as I sweat profusely while trying to take JAG for a walk.
Good luck with the hair decision. I wanted to grow mine really long (including the bangs) again, but then after 1 whole week of caring for JAG, I realized new motherhood is not the time for such impractical hair! Still don't know if I want to go short, though.
Wow, I've certainly written enough. Congrats on the HB!!!
JEALOUS of the coastline. I can drive 45 minutes to the city to get a view of Lake Michigan. :o)
Ahhhh Zofran. I would say that I loved it but it made me so constipated that it felt like I was giving birth to a turd. :o) Since I had c-sections, I guess that is as close to giving birth as I will ever be. HA!
Congrats on the HB! I can't believe another is on the way! WOOT!
I'M SO GLAD THEY DID THE DOPPLER! HOORAY FOR LITTLE BEATING HEARTS BEING HEARD!!!!!!
I am so jealous of the drive you had to your OB. Mine involved downtown traffic and potholes like they'd never heard of asphalt. Oddly enough, with the horrible drive, it only got my blood pressure up once. Ha!
OMG, what Jill said is hilarious and sooo true! Let me tell you that you cannot get enough fiber in your diet right now. And if you haven't been on colace, I'd jump on that one. I don't know if you remember my trials with the constipation, but I'm not shy, I'll share if you want to know. :-P
Protein bars (Zone bars had a LOT of protein) and Carnation instant breakfast helped me with the protein situation.
Yay for hearing a heartbeat! So exciting - never gets old. That picture is ridiculously beautiful. What a place to call home!
I definitely think this one is a girl, Farah. Just want to keep reiterating it until you find out. ;)
Good luck with your hair decision!
See, you are making me want to move to FL even more now! Texas a nice enough place to live, but I would kill to be on the beach every day.
*hugs*
Omg that picture!!! Farah, I'm coming to your house ... STAT!!!!
It's so so cold here. Sniff.
Yay for growing your hair!
I laughed and laughed at your tweet about MT double fisting his fries. HILARIOUS.
What a beautiful drive! My 5-mile drive to the hospital is along the river, but it's a "city river" so it in no way compares to that!
I don't even want to think about my weight gain for my next dr. appointment! I'm afraid I'll already be close to what the nutritionist told me I should gain for the whole thing. :(
So glad things are looking up! I feel for you on the feeding times issues. :(
I think I am coming to visit.
Glad you are feeling better!
Glad you got to her a heart beat...such a comfort!
Speaking of comfort, I got your package today!
Thank you so very very much!
Very glad to hear that you're feeling better! Zofran works wonders when you're feeling awful. I took it a couple of times when I was PG with Lemy and it worked almost instantly.
Hopefully the weight thing will work itself out as the weeks pass! It's still so surreal! So very excited for you, sweetie! :)
Oh it does me good too. Too bad I'm more landlocked. But I can get there when I have to! :)
Yay for the Doppler! It sounds like you had an overall great appointment. And I am quite jealous of that drive you have...
:)
Oh how I do miss the ocean . . . you are a lucky, lucky gal.
Yay for the doppler. Are you going to rent one? I have a fabulous place if you want to rent one. Also during the NT scan are you going to try and find out what you are having? That is when they told us they thought we were having a boy!
I am so glad you are feeling better and I would love to see the coastline! Maybe we need to make a trip down there to see you guys and for the two boys to meet!
OMG, I miss the ocean so MUCH!!!!!!!!!! 10 pounds in one week? OMG, take care of yourself my friend. YAY for the great heartbeat! Congratulations
I'm so glad you can eat again and that all is well with the baby. I'm getting my hair chopped tomorrow!!
Oh, yay for the hb! And I am DEFINITELY standing by my prediction for a sister for MT!
What a beautiful view. That is why we vacay in FL every year!
Yay for feeling better and hearing the heartbeat!
What a beautiful sight to see on the way to the Dr.'s office...makes me jealous ;)
What a wonderful feeling to hear the HB...and a great number too:-)
I hope you continue to feel better and keep that weight more ideal for both you and the new little bean.
I wish I had a strip like that to drive down every day, whether it was to the OB or work, or just down the street. How relaxing!
Nice, I had a beautiful drive to pick up The Bean when we lived in San Diego. Loved it.
Also loved Zofran, made me feel (almost) human again! There is some real evidence that pregnancies with girls are associated with increased nausea. Of course there are exceptions, just saying there's a trend if you like to guess these things....
