A New Day

It was nice to see some of the lurkers. Thanks for De-Lurking. I just think it is so neat to see all the readers and commentors from all over. It is interesting to see how we all find eachother and offer support in many ways and may never get to make a face-to-face connection.

I hope everyone has had a great first start to 2009. I am not much into resolutions. I just try to always learn and grow as a person.

Although, since My parents are only 7 miles away from us, I have vowed to myself to let them watch him more w/o me. I know they appreciate it and enjoy it. I just never really want to give him up most days. I have got accustom to running errands with him and including him in whatever daily life tasks that we have to do on days I am able to spend with him.

I know that it is good to take breaks. Especially since I have family that I trust to take great care of him living so close ... Then I get an email like this from those family members that I just trusted with my child while they are keeping him - Here is an example from today of the great care they provide for him .... ;) Gotta Love the grandparents.

When I first looked at the picture was thinking "what in the world is she doing?" but then it's his grandparents...that makes all the sense in the world. :)

My parents do the same kind of stuff. UGH!!! :P He does look darn cute in that tree though!

I think I also just had a small heart attack! That's cute, but he's still a baby! :) It reminds me of pics of j when he was growing up - he's in a tree in most of them. The boy fell out of a few trees too - always breaking some random bone. He has a 6 inch scar on his arm from popping his arm bone through the skin. I just sigh and pray to God that our son doesn't have his father's love of trees...

hah I think I'm among the few, but ... I think they're awesome pictures!

Try to remember that your parents managed to raise both you and your sister w/out killing either of you. He'll be fine.

Isn't this what grandparents are for? To let them do things the parents would NEVER let them do? I love it!

My dad does the same kind of things with my kids. He sent my 5 yr olds home with electric scissors once. Very handsome boy though, and I want to be in FLORIDA!!!

Aww how cute. I would of probably had a major heart attack. Then I would of probably called my parents and raised holy cane. Hello its ok when he is 6 to be in the tree, not 6 months.
He keeps getting cuter and cuter.

Oh goodness, I panicked just a little with that picture...but it IS adorable:-) Just remember that children are more durable than we think...I made my parents freak out on mult occasions growing up, but I'm still alive to laugh about it.

But make sure that you let those g-parents know that they have a whole country of women watchin' out for that baby and if anything should happen to him, well, they'll be in BIG trouble!:-)

Wow...like most else here I think thats crazy!! I would flip in my parents or inlaws tried that. I did a double take and my heart lept.

But its done now(oh please let them have gotten the urge out and move on to lower/safer things) and I have to say that terror(mine not his) aside, it IS one of the most adorable pictures I've ever seen. You have a beautiful son :)

Yup, looks like some sort of stunt my dad would pull!! At least the picture is adorable, even if it makes your heart skip a few (okay a thousand) beats! Lol. Aren't parents wonderful, they do the things that we would never think of even considering!!
