Everyone's doing it

This post will be in bullet form until my brain returns

  • I missed the actual delurking day but, its a week long. So delurking Pictures, Images and Photos
  • Coupons. It seems that the economic situation has way more people using coupons then before. I generally never noticed coupon users before. But, now going grocery shopping seems to take a little longer because of coupons. The cashiers are making sure the coupon is used correctly and the buyers are lingering in the isle more to make sure they are buying the correct thing. Then I watched a special on tv about food manufacturers are making the products look the same, but contain less contends. Peanut butter, chips, cleaning supplies and a few others were featured.
  • Shoes. I went looking for new tennis shoes this weekend. Apparently, my feet have grown an extra size. I cannot get any of my tennis shoes on. I noticed that my ree.fs felt alittle tight but didn't think anything of it. Is this a side effect of pregnancy?I guess so, I did some googling and apparently this can happen ...Weird
  • Met. I really think it is time for me to start back on my met. I have pro-longed it for a long time. I haven't been eating the greatest. While taking met, I will be held accountable more ( because i do not want to experience that met stomach thing) . Monday, I am going back n met. I think I do really need it. I have put back on 10 lbs in 3 months. Not good, not good at all. Speaking of eating and not diet friendly but yummy, easy, quick recipe:

Baked Parmesan Chicken:

1 1/4 cups Italian breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon garlic salt, 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning, 8 chicken breast halves. Combine breadcrumbs and Parmesan. Mix together mayo, garlic salt, and poultry seasoning. Coat chicken with mayo mixture, then breadcrumb mixture. Bake at 425°F for 20 min.

  • Weather. It is 48 degrees today with a high of 58. MAN I enjoy this weather every now and then.
  • Daycare. I may have found a suitable daycare for when MT turns 1. It is close to my current condo. My husband found it. His co-workers wife has a daycare, she has been in daycare for over 30 yrs. She has grand kids. I talked to her on the phone and it was so much more friendly, warm and personal than the other daycare centers we had scheduled. We got to talking, she actually was the director for our church's daycare when I was in high school. Then we realized that we actually know each other by acquaintances. We never checked out the center before because they only took 1 yr old and up. She has discounts for law enforcement. The center is very accommodating. I am going to stop by in the next few months and check out the place. But right now, I feel at peace for the future if we have to have daycare when MT is 1. The jury is still out of he will need daycare.
  • Tools. i was flipping the channels this weekend. I discovered this horribly bad reality show... has anyone else seen this? The show's premise is to take arrogant, dishonest men and make them husband material .... WOW ..really?

I feel like I need some topics to keep me busy, ya' know, while i am "working" and all. So here is your chance to ask me something you are interested in, thought you wanted to know or any other misc stuff that keeps your attention..

We watched about 10 minutes of that show, BAD. Husband loves terrible reality shows, though, I don't know why. Cheeseball.
I am dreading the thought of my feet growing a size. I literally have 50 pairs of shoes I'd have to get rid of and that, my friend, makes me well up with tears to just type.
Very cool about MT and the daycare (if you need it). This goes in the category of things I still cannot ever think about. I imagine my baby will probably be left with the dog before I figure out what I am going to do with my situation.
*hugs*

Yeah, my feet seemed to have grown too. My fingers too, I can barely get my wedding ring on and off. I may have to get it upsized and buy all new shoes. I am still avoiding thinking about the problem though.

I definitely use coupons way more than I used to!

That is inconvenient about the feet growing thing - ah, the joys of being a woman and having a body made for pregnancy and childbirth.

My feet grew, too! In fact, so much so that I have ingrown toenails becuase of my tight tennis shoes! Granted, I am carrying an extra 40 lbs from when I first got pregnant. But, my feet did grow. It sucks! My girlfriends are all petitioning for my old shoes. :-)Oh, and I STILL can't wear my wedding ring. The girls are almost 6 months old. Terrible.

Loved the picture of MT on your last post!!! He is so darn cute!!!

Hey there!

I've not seen that show, but wow, I hope no one takes it seriously. Love the recipe, keep sharing when you've got something good. Finding the right childcare is what makes going to work possible. I have found like you, when I'm comfortable with the sitter I can actually get some thing done.

I do like some reality tv, but I can't even stoop that low. Apparently anything goes these days.

Congrats on the daycare option. It sounds like a good one, and the discount sounds great too.

Here's a question for you (I'm feeling random today):
If you were to win a talent show, what would your talent be???

:)

I've heard of the feet thing with pregnancy. It happened to my sister though hers grew a size than she went back down 1/2 like 8 months later. Weird stuff. The recipe sounds yummy!!!

I haven't noticed my feet growing, but who knows..maybe they have :)

Question - If you were to win one million dollars, what would you do with it???

Coupons...yes I both love and hate them. Love when they are for what I want in the quantities I want. Hate when the lines go slow from everyone using them. Yes I'm a hypocrite, LOL! Shoes...mmmmm....love shoes. But you already know that.Delurking? Well...here I am. But you're the reason I started my blog in the first place so you already know I read yours! ((hugs))

My feet got a half size bigger after the first kid too - and ruined several perfectly good pairs of shoes. After this pregnancy I think they are a little wider or something.

Anyway, I'm jealous of your weather. Here in DC it's just cold with no snow. What's the point? It makes me miss San Diego. I never once missed winter the entire time I lived there and sometimes I think the weather makes people happier and friendlier. We. want. to. go. back. now.

Oh, and regarding good daycare, we found a nice one for the Bug and it's been a dream. It's a grandmother too, it's in her home, and she loves the Bug like she's her own grandchild. And she fixed all our napping problems in 2 weeks.

I wish I didn't have to work so much, but after the financial crisis caused by bedrest I have no choice. So having her somewhere great makes it so much easier.

I still pop over here and there to see what's up. Thanks for keeping track of me too.

I hope the day care is great!

My Mom went up a half shoe size after having me she says.

And I've come to the conclusion that I will probably be on Met for the rest of my life as well. It really changed my life (aside from the whole miserable stomach thing.) It's made me more stable and healthy overall, and You gotta like that! I think I really was messed up enough that it would have been a real danger to my health down the road. Add to that the fact that my grandma and great grandma both developed diabetes fairly young and... ya know.

Oh.. and coupons are a joy for me. But not as good as BOGO and 50% off at Publix! :)
xo!

I had to give away my favorite pair of tennis shoes. I'm not in favor of this cold weather (it was 28 last night) because it means I can't go outside in flipflops without looking crazy. :-(

I saw that show advertised...couldn't do it. ;-)
