More Q and A

Answering more questions - ( keep um coming it gives me something to blog about)

The Cats - they pretty much stay AWAY from A. They are not big fans of his at all. They try to keep a good distance between them. (excpet they like his "toys" ..I have to keep them out of his things.

The book I am reading is This (the last link didn't work for some) I am still not quite finished with it. *I know there are alot of controversial parenting books out there - I think the big key to all of them is to use common sense and give yourself room for error and as always stated, Be kind to yourself, it's a learning process for everyone.

Photo bloggin -
I finally got around to ordering his birth annoucements - Photobucket

Anla made a sling for me - He LOVES it - absolutely Loves it. Photobucket

It has rained (and by rained I mean gullywashing) everyday that we have been home from the hospital. I wish it would stop raining so I could get outside and enjoy a nice walk. A loves being in his carseat/stroller. He falls right to sleep as soon as the car/stroller starts moving.

My parents live about 8 ish miles away and bribe us with dinner pretty much every night we have been home. If i bring hte baby over, they will make us dinner. I am truly being absolutely spoiled rotten. Baby A is also because his grandparents hold him all the time. He is the first grandbaby on both sides ( I was the first grandbaby on both sides also) I know what is in store for him ... LOTS Of spoiled rotten-ness. (and I think that is just perfectly fine - remind me of this when I am ranting about being spoiled rotten and tantrums are mentioned)

As for a schedule - we sortakindamaybe have one - He wakes up about every 2.5-4 hours, I go get a bottle ready and warming, go pick him up and do a diaper change, feed him now about 3 oz-ish, after the bottle I try the swing (tomorrow I am going to try his floor gym) until he is just too tired to stay awake, then he sleeps and we rinse/repeat that whole routine every 2.5-4 hours during the day.

After the first feeding in the morning(anywhere from 6-8), He would rather cuddle or have me hold him on my chest. Sometimes he falls directly back to sleep after the first morning feeding. Sometimes he is wide eyed and busy tailed.

He has pee'd on me quite a few times, It's really just the funniest thing, I so want to get it on video.

Remember keep the questions coming - Sometime's I am just at a loss of words

Love the pics Farah!!

I'm so pleased that everything is going along so swimmingly.

I've heard from a few people that I should check out that book you're talking about. Another one for the list!

Here's a question for ya:
What's a rough list of the absolute bare necessities that one should have prior to their baby's arrival? What's really mandatory and what's optional or even useless? The baby books are telling me I need everything under the sun or we'll be up the proverbial creek... I want the truth from a real mum who's going through the process...

And how's A's tear duct doing?

Great pics. The birth announcement is so darn cute. You must disclose where you ordered from!

Your new schedule sounds great. You've got it all under control. Hope the rain stops soon!

PS - Thanks for the suggestion about Weeds - I will on-demand it this weekend!

Love the birth announcement! Did you do anything special to get your kitties ready for A? I'm trying to think of things to do to prepare our kitties for a new addition. I tell them all about the baby but they just look at me like I'm stupid. :)

It is nice that things are working out so nicely for you. That sling looks great. It is also nice of your parents to treat you guys to dinner everynight. That is such a nice thing. First cause you don't have to cook and second cause they get to see you and little A.

I can't believe how great you look! I am jealous! Not really but you do look great! I love the birth announcements. We are going to try to take Baby T to a photo op today. We'll see if she stays awake or doesn't wail. Have a super day!

Hey is so precious. I love that cute little face!

I laughed when you said you "finally" got around to ordering the announcements. Like you haven't had enough to do. :) Seriously, I've gotten birth announcements for the kid's first birthday before!

I love his announcement! It's just perfect. I read that bw book and also found it helpful. I also liked baby whisperer. Again, like you said, take what you need and throw the rest away. Little A is so cute!!

I thik book are useful, but I always keep in the back of my mind to be flexible, too.

His announcement is beautiful!!! Love it.

We are reading Babywise, too. I know lots of people hate it, but we are planning on tailoring any "parenting method" to meet our family and baby's needs. No one method is "best"--we all just need to figure out what works for our family without criticizing others methods. :) Just my two cents.

Love to hear about A and how things are coming along with him. I've found that if I let PMan wake me in the night with crying that he's much harder to get back down. However if I am proactive and wake him it's a quick change, bottle and he's out in 1/2 hour. He sleeps better this way too.

Funny thing is that I don't even have to set a clock to do this... my body just knows it has to get up to beat him to it!

Enjoy him!
