Because You always have great ideas

Are you a Work at/from Home Individual that generates a monthly income? Have you ever been? If so, What do/did you do?

I am not crafty in the least. I can follow instructions. I can type. (no I do not want to be a transcriptionist -right now), I can cook, I have uber multi-tasking abilities. I just need to figure out something to help generate a bit of income. I am not good at cold calling. I suck at selling.

Any ideas?

Hi, just saw your post re: sinus infections/UTI's and wanted to offer my thoughts..

For sinus infections clearly I'm as lost as you, but I am going to try the Neti Pot tonight and will let you know if it helps. My nose is raw from blowing, and my head is pounding... it sucks so I feel you girl.

For the UTI's, I also suffer terribly with them during pregnancy and have found that Brown Cow yogurt works best. I eat one a day, wash at least twice/three times a day, and change my underwear regularly. I don't know why Brown Cow works for me but it does - the vanilla flavor. See if they have it at your local grocer.. it's one of those too expensive greek yogurts, but on the inside foil there are always great coupons so that helps.

The washing also helps because of the extra discharge from pregnancy. Just staying "fresh" there seems to help alleviate the UTI.

Hope there are some new ideas for you....

I work from home full time as a Project Manager. Since having the girls, my employer allowed me to work from home and puts me on all kinds of piddly projects that no one else wants (IT, Infrastructure and some Energy projects). It's worked out very well. I know work from home options are hard to come by - I just have a great employer.

I hope you find something that allows you the flexibility of working from home. It's the only way I've been able to survive!

Interested in these responses :) I am allowed to work from home on occasion.. not always, but it does help when I can!

I have a friend who did textbook editing. Easy to do in small chunks of time, completely computer based, more stimulating than transcription. You might need a background in writing or education, though... not sure....

What about taking in another kid about MT's age for daycare? It sounds tiring but it might be easier than doing a job plus MT. This would at least be getting paid for what you are already doing.

Well, I'm doing the medical transcription thing now and it isn't too bad, minus all the work to get to this point. I really should have another degree.

I am a lurker that will de-lurk in case this could help you. I work several at home jobs. My main one is working as quality rater for a search engine (check out Leapforce or Lionbridge). I am also an area director for an au pair company, I do texting, freelance writing and I grade exams as well. Part of working from home doing multiple jobs like that is always staying on top of looking for new opportunities in case you lose one of yours, and there are also tax implications of working as a 1099. I update my blog with WAH opportunities fairly regularly in case you want to check it out:

I hope that helps and you figure out a situation that works for your family!

Maybe you could do consulting work based upon your previous job? Maybe you could make cloth diapers from home since you use the product? I am not sure about anything else. Sorry wish I could help

If I was rich, you could be my personal assistant. ;) (Or if you or Jen lived NEARBY, you could watch my baby!!!!)

I am working for alpine access (just google it or e-mail me). It's a call center thing and it just depends on your background and area of the country what they are hiring for. It is mostly taking inbound calls and not sales.

As for the uti/sinus thing . . . are you getting actual positive labs for the UTIs? If so, then I would ask for them to be cultured for sensitivity. It is very likely that the recurrent UTIs are really the same one not being properly addressed by the antibiotic. There are several antibiotics that pregnant women can safely take, but unfortunately, many of those have big resistance issues. A culture/sensitivity test should work. The yogurt would work to keep your natural flora and fauna (As well as pesky yeast - a nasty side effect with some antibiotics) in check, any any with live active cultures should work.

Okay, so I don't have any ideas, but I really want some, so if anything works out, will you pass the info along:-)

I hope it works for you, though, I really do.
