The Verdict

From the last post (ignore if you already did) - Enquiring Minds Wanna know what type of baby monitor you would/would not suggest - take time to leave a comment about that.

On Monday at 11:45 am, I will find out if MT gets a brother or a sister. It's a few days before my birthday, But It's definitely a present I will take early.

Tuesday Early Morning, I received a wake up call from MT around 3 am - He was screaming. I went to check on him and he was burning up. With all the de-cluttering, I could not find his thermometer. It was also 3 am and I was delirious. I just gave him some tylenol and took his clothes off and we sat in the living room for a while and he wanted water. Then I tried to lay down with him in our bed. The kid steam rolls. ... Really, He just tosses and turns and flips all around in his sleep. So finally I decided to get up and take him back to bed. He woke up 2 hours later. Rough night for sure. He was not feeling as warm and I know he is teething so I just kept him well medicated, and went through the day. Later on, again he felt extremely warm, I decided I needed to take his temp .. 104 OUCH ..... I gave him more tylenol and called the dr's office ... Of course it was after hours ... It took me calling them again to finally get a call 2 hours later .. . By that time, I already had the temp down to 100 and a sleeping baby. I was no longer panicking did not think urgent care was needed. Today he has had no temp thus far, but very cranky and sleepy. I am kicking myself for not making a Dr's appointment today - But I really do think that the Crank is from stupid molar that refuses to come through ... Not that high temp though .. Not sure what to think about that. He is showing no real sign of sickness. I have a feeling I will be in the Dr's office with him Tomorrow.

My son used to get temps. when his teeth came through, although I don't think they were ever that high.

Good luck!

We had a similar situation with Lemy a few weeks ago with a sudden fever on the middle of the night. The dr said there was a nasty virus going around that had a high feve but little else to it. Maybe MT got that??? Good luck on Monday! :)

Poor MT! I really hope he feels better. Teething sucks!

What type of thermometer do you use? Under the arm? Just curious...that's what we're using, but I hate it!

I'm so excited for you to find out if MT gets a little brother or sister!

We have a Summer video/audio monitor, that we got new last July. It has the portable handset. We love it! We have a 2 story, 3000 sq foot house, and it works everywhere, even outside. The video screen is pretty small, but we can tell if he's sleeping or playing.

Maera woke up balling, her poor little nose was all stuffed and she couldn't breath through it and suck her thumb... now that she's older, she doesn't like that sucker thing at all!
I am glad MT is doing better.

that IS a high temp. maybe his body has faught off the infection now, lowER temps would be a good sign of that. teething though will bring on high temps. I hope the little guy is not sick and that it was just an infection that come and gone! I've had a lot of those, and by the time I've gone in to see the Doc. they are always like "yeah you just have an infection. Just let it run it's course and take Nyquil/Tylenol for discomfort"

hope you get more sleep in your household tonight :)

Each one of my boys have had some kind of fever thing in the last few weeks....
N... high fever for two day, he wouldn't eat, but slept ok.
E... fever for 1/2 day, threw up, fever at night, then ok
J.... fever for the last 3 days, but nothing else?? He's eating fine and has no other symptoms. I'm confused myself about what if I should call the dr or not?

ps... I hope your little guy is feeling better asap!!

I have a really old audio monitor that we use, I tried the video one, and N, didn't like the the camera anywhere he could see... hence it didn't work for us.

I hope he is fever free today!

I think I mentioned this on FB, but our monitor is the summer one with the handheld video monitor thingy and we like it!

I cannot wait until Monday!

Hope MT is feeling better and that that the weekend brought some much needed rest. I can't wait to hear about your appointment today! It's like 1156 and maybe by now you know if it's team blue or team pink! ((Hugs))
