No Go
YEAH! Keep the opinions coming about birth control and the mi.nip.ill. I appreciate all opinions. It was so nice to some delurk (as requested)! I am also pretty worried about blood clots - just coming off lo.venox - I need to call and ask about that - it could help me make our decision. I also have this - We could use that as a guide also....
We did not make the road trip today - instead we made a visit to MT's dr. Last night we had a fussy night to the point of unconsolable for 4 hours. We have never had to deal with that - my absolute sympathy to those nodding their head whom have dealt with an unconsoled baby more often than we have ... we tried it ALL nothing worked! I have been noticing boogies and more snorts than normal so last night i figured he was just upset because we actually used the sucky bulb to try and get some snots out. He finally wore himself out and slept most of the night.
When he woke up, I fed him and noticed he was having alot of trouble breathing and thus trouble eating. I was concerned because he was so frustrated he did not want to finish eating. He managed to go back to sleep and when he woke up for his next feeding - same thing ... trouble breathing, and not wanting to eat. So I called the ped, she wanted to see him, SO i showered, he napped, i tried to feed him again - and he was very happy to eat = he ate it all -no trouble eating ore breathing .. but we went to the visit anyways.
He weighed in at 10lb 11oz! What a lil butterball!!! His ears, nose and throat were all clear - no sign of congestion at all - so apparently - I am just neurotic. BUT I did learn that you are supposed to use saline drops when you try the sucky bulb up the nose .... so we went and bought these. (suggested by the dr) and a cool mist humidifier. I haven't bought the humidifier yet - we also have not had any more breathing/feeding problems.
Thank you so much for the kind words, prayers, thoughts for my mom - Basically, the Dr's believe it to be a hormonal disturbance or imbalance and are trying to figure out what is best for her - (which is what I have been saying it was all along to my dad since it all started around the same time as menopause) - She has been under care for a week and should be coming home very soon. Thank you for all being so kind ... I guess I better go make dinner before E gets home so we can enjoy spending time with each other.

Lot's of Pinks
Thank you for not flogging me yesterday with my worries. I appreciate being somewhat understood. It's nice. I tell ya what is also so nice, seeing so many new comments from so many great blogs. I can't wait to check up on all the new visitors. It is so refreshing to see comments start flowing again.
Any moms out there with P.Co.S who breastfed. I am reading in a few books and articles, (another, more .. think you get my point) lately that PC.OS patients have a low milk supply due to a few things - but Met.formin Helps? Is there any truth behind this? If so I'm so going to be very pushy at my next appointment. Any one know anything about this? I think I may try and call a lactation consultant. yes/no?
For the pregnant FL/So. GA bloggers, You must go register here. I received a a great book on parenting and bundles of coupons for buy one get one free baby, pregnancy related items.
Here is a 20, 29, 35 week Picture all in the same shirt.

. How Sweet is she.
Here’s what to do:
1. On your blog, copy and paste the award, these rules, a link back to the person who selected you, and a link to this post: You will find the story behind the Pink Rose Award here and other graphics to choose from there. (It's really such a sweet story)
2. Select as many award recipients as you would like, link to their blogs (if they have one), and explain why you have chosen them.
3. Let them know that you have selected them for an award by commenting on one of their posts.
4. If you are selected, pass it on by giving the Pink Rose Award to others.
5. If you find that someone you want to nominate has already been selected by someone else, you can still honor them by posting a comment on their award post stating your reasons for wishing to grant them the award.
6. You do not have to wait until someone nominates you to nominate someone else.
I nominate:
Pam for her beautiful blog/writing skills. She often leaves me just wanting more.
Janna for her heart.
Amanda for helping me get through the day.
JJ for all that she does for this IF community and her giving spirit.
Mel for her honesty
Seussgirl for her outpouring support (and because I am going to be emailing her lots of questions soon)
Jen for her ideas and getting the Cent. FL Bloggers together.
Remember you can nominate someone for this w/o being nominated. But if you are commenting on my blog, consider yourself Nominated because w/o you I'd have no way of knowing my supporters/cheerleaders. This (to me) is what it's all about. Making your support known. Keep it up and pass it along.

34 weeks
84% of your pregnancy has passed, there is 16% left to go
If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
Not much changes from 34 weeks pregnant and on except your baby is adding valuable meat to his bones. Some women also start wondering when their baby will 'drop' sometime after week 34 pregnancy. Dropping is the term that refers to the process whereby your baby's head enters the birth canal. It generally occurs in first time mothers a few weeks before delivery. In moms who have already given birth, it may not happen until a day or two before labor begins. When you do drop you should notice a change in your abdomen. You might notice your baby is resting lower. You might also notice that it suddenly becomes easier to breathe, in part because you have 'lightened' your load and now have more room available in your upper abdomen.
It is also common to start feeling some pressure in the vagina after the baby drops. Some women worry that their baby might fall out. Talk to your doctor if you feel the pressure is severe. Your healthcare provider can check to see exactly how low the baby's head is. Usually everything will be fine, you simply need to adjust to your baby sitting a little lower than you are used to.
The hormones from the placenta are starting to activate the milk in your breasts.
In liver news: although not quite fully formed, your little miracle’s liver is now capable of processing a certain amount of waste. In general, most of your child’s prenatal physical development is pretty much up to snuff and ready for the outside world. Naturally, further weight gain is expected—so you’re still not at maximum capacity despite probably feeling like you definitely are maxed out.
I think I am fearing that my baby has dropped and the lightening has happened. Then some days, I don't think it is as defined as I think it is. I think I am just afraid of preterm labor and not making it as far as I would like to - in order to feel more comfortable. I am also afraid of a 8-10 pounder. We go tomorrow to visit Dr Wonderful at the mfm's office for another growth scan and looksee at Mini. I am hoping/praying that he is just the perfect size (like in the 3 bears story - juuuuuuust riiiiiight and my cervix is holding strong for a few more weeks. I have dreams about pre-term labor. My mind/sub conscious has really taken this fear and run with it. Especially since the GD scare (which I still have yet to have a really high read over the acceptable limits - I am just beyond paranoid now)
To answer the few questions about the heparin- I will be on it until further notice. My ob's have told me that If I feel I am having labor contractions, Do not take the next shots. It has a lifespan of about 4-6 hours in my system and they would just prefer me to err on the side of caution and not take it, if I think "things are progressing". I have also been instructed to stop the baby aspirin. I have an ob appointment Friday morning. I am crossing fingers and holding my breath that all continues to go well. We do not have a car seat yet (still waiting-told it's being shipped the first week in June), We have 4 couples coming into town this weekend to celebrate E's birthday (along with a pseudo baby shower since they couldn't come this past weekend). I'd really like to enjoy their company.
I have asked a friend to take a pictures of E and I in the upcoming week so I have some semi-professional good photos of us at the beach with my belly! Our engagement pictures were done at the beach and I would like to have maternity pictures there also.
For the most part, I am doing well, sleeping ok (absolutely cannot shift in bed, must lay on a side only and must get out of the bed on whatever side i am laying on or I get a weird stabbing/pain sensation in my back/stomach area, the bobby pillow is really useful now too, I am working fine (this is my last week on-call, I will miss that paycheck but not the worry). I am told I just fully waddle now. O'well what can I say to that. I will be taking off Friday and we already have Monday. I am looking forward to just kickin it back and relaxing. On Monday I do plan on cleaning out what will soon be a lil boy's closet. I have put it off long enough and It needs to get done. It shouldn't take long, the walk-in closet isn't that big ... wow lots of posts in a short amount of time....

Rambles Of a Hormonal Crazy Woman
AH - I made it one more week w/o using leave. Hopefully I can pull that off for 1 more pay period. (may 29th)
We had our OB Tour yesterday. I must say that this hospital is just fantastic and so thoughtful. I know they birth babies hourly and all - but they just have it down so exactly as I would like it to be. The policies are in place but make sense and there is nothing too out of the ordinary. Every hospital staff we encountered was just super friendly. I think that we will really be pleased with this hospital. They play a lullaby over the entire hospital speakers when a baby is born.
I received
from Morrisa, Adriane, Wishing, Hoping and Praying, and Katie (*edit) this week.
I cannot express to you gals how much I needed this little extra this week.
I would like to pass it on to LIW, and Lady in Waiting, Kristen, Marcy and Kris, and TopCat. All have been a great deal of support to me and are deserving woman.
I have been feeling very drained emotionally and physically. There are some things going on right now and I was not sure if i was going to be able to make it another day a few days ago. I have been having lil mini episodes of doubt and fear. It all stems from lack of sleep, I think. We changed from lo.veno.x to he.par.in (because hep is easier to control while laboring - as someone else also pointed out) And of course there had to be a snafu. At the pharmacy (or the ob's script - each are blaming the other) I received the wrong vials of the drug. I picked them up Monday night after work, came home to find out that there was not a script for the needles we needed to inject it with. E called the pharmacy to try and arrange the pharmacist to let us have(buy) 2 needles to get us that night's dosage and the am dosage. Then I could call the OB's office and ask them to order/write a script for the remainder. So i did, they called in an order, I picked them up Tuesday night after work. Got home, found out that based on the syringe units I would now be required to inject 2 needles at a time to fulfill the ob's amount prescribed. I was a little frustrated. NO, i was alot frustrated. Lov.enox was in a pre-filled syringe, no mixing required and i only had to take it once a day. This new drug was requiring 2 shots a day - but with the small syringes it meant 4 shots a day. So I had to give myself 2 shots in the pm and 2 shots in the am and then call my ob's office again Wednesday to figure out what was going on. I still do not have any clear answers as to what happened - each are blaming the other for the script - but will not take back the drugs and syringes and give us the right ones - therefore I stuck (literally) 4 times a day compared to once a a day until I run out of those vials. I have 30 of them and each vial will last about 5 days. Therefore I will be sticking myself most likely until Mini arrives 4 times a day. I was bruise free before switching, My belly ( where I have been instructed to stick myself) is no longer bruise free and quite sore actually. I just keep thinking - I am so ...close..I will make it. I called to get more test strips for my sugar monitor but the pharmacy will not let me re-new that prescription because the dr put that I test 2 times a day - but i was told to test 4 - so I have to call again today and ask if they want me to just test 2 times a day or continue to test 4 times. If they want me to continue doing 4 times a day the script needs updating or a new one needs called in .... It's just tiring dealing with all of this .. That stress on top of the mental stress I put on myself about my leave and dealing with other stress's that I can't really share yet just makes me all tapped out. Good thing is after tomorrow, I plan on leaving work early to pick up my sister at the airport, going to get a pedicure and manicure and relaxing before the shower on Saturday.
With all the above frustrations, i am still glad to be able to hold my head up and say that I am almost 34 weeks pregnant and still feel unbeleivablly blessed to have made it this far and be able to actually be in a position to have a baby shower FOR ME ... This is will be for me and I did not have to plan it. After last yrs baby shower bananza's (i threw 4 last yr), It is so humbling to be able to think that I actually have something referred to as a "shower dress" and enjoy celebrating my ( well and e's baby).
I leave you with a 33 week pic:

33 weeks
82% of your pregnancy has passed, there is 18% left to go
The baby is using it's lungs to practice breathing by inhaling amniotic fluid. Your baby is drinking about a pint of amniotic fluid a day now and urinating the same amount.
Amniotic fluid is at its highest level during your pregnancy. If your baby is a boy, his testicles will be descending from his abdomen into his scrotum. Sometimes one or both testicles won't move into position until after birth.
The skin becomes a rosy color and the fine downy hair that was on the skin is replaced with vernix caseosa. This "baby cream cheese" prevents the skin from drying out. The fine downy hair (lanugo) comes off and floats in the amniotic fluid. Because the baby takes small sips of amniotic fluid, he swallows these hairs which then tickle and stimulate his intestines, which helps in their function after birth.
While there are many things you can do to limit swelling and bloating (like exercising and drinking water) you will retain some fluid no matter what you do. This is especially true if you are having your baby in the summer months when it is hot and your body retains water naturally anyway.
I am experiencing that third trimester insomnia. Man, I am up and ready to go at about 4:30 am every morning now. I usually watch tv or make myself lay still in order to fall back asleep. I have noticed a bit of swelling in my feet towards the end of the days. I prop my feet up and watch tv and drink water and they start to go down. By morning, they look fine again. (Although, I think my feet are flattening out or getting wider then before)
I thought I was getting sick last week but then I think we decided over the weekend it was lack of sleep making me feel bad. I got about 15 hours of sleep (not continuous) Saturday night/Sunday and realized that I am definitely trying too hard some days. I am pushing my limits and need to back off of some of the expectations that I placed on myself. I have not used any leave from work since January. I was trying to not use any time off until I go out on maternity leave. I have worked 10/12 hour days to make up for all of the dr's appointments. I was planning on working until the end of June w/o using leave to try and have as much leave built up for when I am out of maternity leave. I am having to give myself a break. This is far too much of an expectation. I need to take more time for myself to relax some. This is my last week that I will place this pressure on myself. I knew that May was going to be a rough month just by the calendar but I feel like I am starting to drag. We have alot of obligations this month and I may have to excuse myself from some.
I started he.par.in last night. I have read mixed reviews/opinions about lov.enox and hepa.rin and breastfeeding. The pharmacist I asked last night said that it was a safe drug for breastfeeding. My sugar reads continue to be good, so I canceled the appointment with the counselor and told them that I would reschedule next week. Let's hope that I continue to have good reads. THANK you for the emails I received yesterday about good birth stories that involve medication. I appreciate all the feedback. I left that class in a pretty weird place. I know that no 2 births are the same but it is nice to receive personal information. It just helps my nerves and anxiety levels so much.
Here's to another week down!

We are making progress
I just got back from my ob appointment. I must tell you it went shockingly well. This was the first appointment since receiving the GD diagnosis over the phone. The dr was unimpressed with the diagnosis. She said that she would not have classified my results as GD but considering I have P.CO.S, It doesn't hurt anything. I did not know this until today -but my uterus has been measuring ~2 weeks ahead ever since i was 15 weeks. No one ever said anything to me about it until today. Good news is that it's consistent therefore she is not concerned. She told me that up to 2 weeks measuring ahead is totally w/in the norm. (just passing along knowledge) My bp was perfect, no trace of protein in my urine (yah)! They switched my lo.veno.x to he.p.ari.n today. So i am now on 2 shots of heparin a day. I was informed today that I cannot breast feed if on the lo.veno.x. (which they will put me back on after delivery) We will have to address that issue in a few weeks. I need time to think about this and do my own lil research. She reassured me that she wanted to aim for a vaginal birth. (yah for that) If my water breaks I am not to do my he.par.in dose. I think that about sums up my appointment today. I schedule my next 5 appointments with the office. I have one more regular appointment in 2 weeks. Then after that appointment, I will start going to weekly nst's followed by a dr visit. The Ob's office would like me to have 1 more visit (after the one in 2 weeks) with the mfm. I tell ya, I don't want to leave his office, I jut adore him
My peri ( mfm) appointment is also in 2 weeks (before my ob's) - we will get another glimpse of Mini. I am hoping that his weight is going to be right on track so there will be nothing to worry about. He has been so good to me.
So as you can see, the prayers, good thoughts etc. are working. Thank you so very much.
We have our childbirth education class tomorrow. I chose not to go to any weekly (or biweekly) classes due to our work schedules. I am very excited to be able to go to it. I heard it was very informative and helpful.
We have our OB Hospital tour Wednesday at 7pm. Things are really progressing. I am feeling much more calm. My shower is the 17th (almost 1 week away) and I am really looking forward to it.
Yah for Friday. I am ready for the weekend. I bet you are too

Monthly Dr Appointment
oK - WARNING p-word appointment and random thoughts all over the place -
(yes barb- sad but true-for the most part, I write like I speak/think- scared now?)
Welp, I made it back from the dr's appointment. I just do not understand pre-natal care really. I guess this is coming from an infertile stand-point. I go there, they do things that I really could do at home. Maybe this is based on my fertility treatments. (I mean, we did do our own injections)
Normal appointment: I weigh myself (didn't gain any), I pee in a cup. (i had a few white blood cells today but I told them I was fighting a cold- they were not worried) They take my BP (still really good), measure my fundal height (measuring 24 weeks - I am 23w2d). Nurse asks a few questions, then does the doppler(still 150-160's). Then the Dr comes in ( because I am still considered High Risk). If you aren't HR I don't think you see a Dr. That's it. Very low key
Today, She went over the MFM notes with us. She was pleased to hear how well everything was and has turned out. She disagreed with his thinking on the lov.enox. She found it interesting that he does not think I need the lov.enox and the dose is much too low for someone with that condition in my weight range. She told me that she will mention this to her team of dr's and see what they think of his opinion and notes. I told her, It's just a shot, If she wants me to do more, I will. She admitted that sometimes dr's give prescriptions for things to make the dr's feel better as in "prescribing the risks, so the dr's get sleep at night". I told her I was fine with whatever they decide. They also want me to have monthly growth scans(u/s's). I didn't ask specifically why. I am sure it is based on the MF.M Dr's request which he already told me he wanted to have done either at his office or theirs. She agrees, whomever's office is fine. They just want to have a weight estimate of the baby. (due to my pre-despositions to pre-eclampsia according to the M.FM)
It's good to have dr's that really want to care for you . I know that I may have complained in the beginning, I had a rough start and a weird perspective, I find it easier to relax and trust when I fill my Mini moving and kicking me while we are discussing this pregnancy.
Boy have I come a long way in that thinking. Me- trying to figure out why I am at a dr's appointment?? Am I that comfortable .. Maybe? The receptionist was scheduling my next appointment - and I asked for a later one. I asked for an appointment a week later (making my next appointment in 5 weeks inside of 4) She said "my, you sure have gotten much more confident haven't you?" I just smiled. I really have. I am relaxed about most of this, most of the time. It's quite new for me and somewhat enjoyable. I enjoy this chilled out version of me. I am glad for the pre-natal care. It just seems like after all my RE appointments, it's really simple. And for that statement - I am going to hush and not say that out loud but be eternally grateful beyond measure. In all fairness, It will not really be 5 weeks w/o an appointment. I have another MFM appointment the 24th.
I don't know if i mentioned this or not but my next door neighbor growing up has had 5 rough pregnancies in the last 3 years. She would go into pre-term labor around 20-26 weeks and end up losing the babies. She delivered a beautiful baby girl yesterday at 32w1d. She was on hospital bed rest since 20 weeks, had cerclage since 11 weeks. The baby was 4 lbs 4 oz and 17 inches (they were giving my friend terbutaline and prednisone since 26 weeks to help prepare the baby's lungs.) The baby spent less than 13 hours in the n.ico on a breathing machine to help open up her lungs but is already off and doing fabulous!! SUCH freakin Fantastic News!!

And the Beat goes on
The perinatologist’s office was very very far away and we both really complained about driving that far – but man o man was it worth it. I really haven’t felt more comfortable with any of my care/dr’s completely. But this Dr (aka Dr Wonderful) just laid it all out there and was sympathetic to our situation and needs. He asked me at first if I had any questions, I told him that I may have questions after he goes over the results of our scan and fetal echo. He explained that, as of now, everything is measuring on target and Mini is nearing 16 oz.(~15.5 oz for now). He stated that things seemed to be measuring a few days ahead but that was good news and not bad news. It just gives them wiggle room with my due date (which is still the same). He explained that he was originally concerned about my ASD and spine but after the pictures and echo, all looks great and processing growth that normal.
Then we started discussing the lo.veno.x, auto immune issues, and fertility. Apparently, I have been confused on this topic – and an now a little more confused with a little more clear understanding – if that even makes since.
My RE tested me for a zillion of things. I thought I understood that the mt.hf.r disorder was being treated by the lo.ve.no.x, but that is not the case. I am taking an extra fo.lic acid pill for that. This disorder is called ho.moc.ysteine.
The Lo.ve.no.x is being used to treat an abnormal level of Anti-cardiolipin antibodies.(a.c.a testing) There was a test that revealed that I had a slightly higher level than normal. I think the paper stated that fewer than 11 are good or 10, and mine was 20. Dr Wonderful stated that I was at a slight risk for deep thrombosis as a result of these findings (and m/c's), It’s just precautionary and dually noted to watch. He also explained to me that most women use lo.ve.nox(he.pa.rin along with prednisone and a baby aspirin) early in a pregnancy or before they become pregnant because it makes the uterus/cells more “sticky” to help with implantation if there is to be believed of a need to assist in that area. Since I did not start taking it until week 8 or 9 – he doesn’t think it had much effect on this pregnancy. He also states that my dosages are much too low for a patient who legimately does have this problem. Dr. Wonderful said that based on the dose, he doesn’t think I necessary “need” it but the risks are much greater to take me off of it now – because I have made it this far why screw anything up and be able to second guess medicine. I agreed, so we will continue to same amount like always 1- 40 mL shot a night. He states that I continue until this until week 34.
He tends to believe that my troubles/menstrual cycles,m/c, etc are more due to the P.CO.S., and not the Anti-cardiolipin antibodies (because I started the drugs so late) or ho.moc.ysteine. He stated of course it is a compound issue and makes it seem impossible and complex (or in his words “a doozy”) but it seems to be manageable which we are doing.
So based on all of the above: The ho.moc.ysteine, the P.C.O.S, abnormal Anti-cardiolipin antibodies, and being larger women: Here is the new and latest possible diagnosis that he is slightly concerned with: Pre.ecla.mps.ia.
The only thing about that is that the signs are basically h.igh b.loo.d p.ress.ure. Well, that is one thing that I do not have. My Bp is usually 112/59-118/72 ish. So I hope that it continues to remain normal. I plan on adding more fresh veggies in my diet to help with the folic acid which should help maintain my weight which will hopefully help maintain my pcos and keep me away from the pr.eecla.mpsi.a. PHEW, lots of technical terms – sorry If your face hit the keyboard out of boredom - as always - if you have questions or comments - please feel free to ask away or email me
On the good part – We got to have an u/s for 2 hours and 15 mins while they measures, checked, rechecked, re-measured and showed us and re-showed us boy parts!

15w 3d appointment
I am back, the appointment went well, not like scheduled but well.

They decided that if they could get a heartbeat on a Doppler, then they would not do the U/S and wait until my appointment with the MFM (which they are scheduling in 2-3 weeks) to do the anatomy scan. I was disappointed to say the least. (but now am rethinking and glad that they were confident enough for me not to need a scan -silver lining) (and I didn't get yelled at or a lecture for gaining 4 lbs thus far)
My next appointment at the OB's is Feb 7th. I asked if they would do an U/S then if I hadn't had one with the MFM, they assure me that the MFM will get in me and have the scan done before then. Let's hope. I really could use another face to face with my baby. (I am trying to remember that I am already blessed with the many u/s that I have already had, because there is this thing called a normal pregnancy that never gets this many u/s to begin with)
I was asked to do an early glu.cos.e test (because of my P.CO.S) and the A.FP. I have heard how awful the glucose testing can be. I have to admit, the hard part is the not being able to eat for 6-12 hours prior to the test. This blood draw was much easier than any of my other blood draws ever, is this because of the lo.ve.no.x? My blood just looked so much more abundant, red and liquidy today.
Thank you for all the votes on the sex, I guess we will have to hold off for a few weeks to see which is right.
My husband and I are very glad about our decision to not order a Doppler. I do have extra fluff, as the dr says. So maybe that affects my experience, but the baby does not like the Doppler at all. The nurse had such a hard time getting the baby to stay in one location long enough to even get somewhat of an accurate read off the Doppler. Every time she would think she found the baby's heart beat, the baby would move away. It literally took her 2 (very long) minutes to get it on the Doppler so that it was recognizable as a heartbeat. When she did get it, she was pressing down so hard that I thought I was going to pee all over the place. My husband said she had to pin the baby in the corner to get it to work .
All in All, not a bad appointment really, Informative, Now i just want to get into see the MFM Dr as soon as possible.

Pills... The verdict
Well, I called my Ob's office again today to inquire about my new drug protocol. I am a little uncomfortable giving up my pills as they have been my security blanket (even if at first i didn't want to take them)
I have 4 days left of m.etfo.rmi.n and pr.ome.tri.um. (long sigh) I still do not mind giving up the progesterone. I am slightly more uncomfortable giving up the Met.
As for the pr.edn.iso.ne, I am going to be weaned off this. I am taking 1 tablet for the next 5 days (til 12/25). Then I am taking 1/2 tablet for 5 days (til 12/30). Then 1/2 tablet every other day for 5 days(til 01/04).
After this I will just be doing lovenox (until 30 weeks) and a baby aspirin. (unless the MFM dr says differently). I will be visiting a MFM Dr. in January. My next appointment with my OB is Jan 11th. and after that appointment, they will make an appointment to see the MFM(Perinatologist).
Our family is having our Christmas Saturday night in St. Si.mo.ns, G.A. I have alot of laundry, packing, shopping and wrapping to do before we leave tomorrow. AND i need to come into work for a few hours ( hopefully 8 - so i don't have to use leave). Everyone have a very blessed and safe merry christmas.
My friend, Trying2007, got 2 lines today (after a long and tiring journey of 4 IVF's). She has a beta tomorrow. Go and send her off with lots of positive vibes!

NT Scan
My appointment went well - saw the baby and heard the heartbeat some more (HB was 168) - (the Tech knows how much the heartbeat calms my nerves so she always turns the speakers on for me for a few minutes to hear while she is getting things situated). The ultrasound went great, the tech does not think there is anything to "worry about", All measurements were under or around 1.5mm. they took more blood for a chromosomal genetic testing. Those results should be back in 14 days. My Dr did state that I will be coming off my Me.tfo.rm.in, Pre.dn.iso.ne, and Pro.me.tr.ium
after the next week. She will then do a sugar test after I have been off Met for a week.
I feel VERY confident that everything is fine. The baby DID NOT want an ultrasound today. The baby was moving and jumping and swinging its arms and kicking to get away from the poking and prodding... the tech and i were both nudging the baby to try and get the baby to move. She was trying to see if we could see the sex but no cooperation from the lil thing.
Eric swears it's a girl .. because it was all feisty and stubborn. The baby did not like us poking trying to get s/he to move. It was fun to poke the stomach and watch the baby kick or punch back. .. The tech said she "thought" she saw boy parts at one time but then she says she looked again and couldn't see anything .. she tried and tried to find "boy parts" but could never get them to show up . We tried with me rolled on my side and all but O'well ... more waiting Here is a new pic (it's not that great because baby was very active today)

11 Weeks
It's Tuesday. That time again. I have made it to 11 weeks.
24% of your pregnancy has passed, there is 76% left to go.
I really am just in awe. I am starting to get really uncomfortable in my clothes, although I have lost 3 more lbs. As my friend says "the furniture is moving around" and I feel it. I have lost a total of 15 lbs since I got a BFP, I think the Dr will be happy with me. ( as someone who knows that I am overweight). That makes a total weight loss of 62 lbs since February. Praise be to Me.tfor.mi.n (and maybe a lil more discipline/determination). Not that I have ever been 11 weeks pregnant before, but it seems that I am carrying this baby pretty high - about 2-3 inches above my belly button. That is where the hardness is. Although my lower abdomen got really heavy about a week ago. (i assume the placenta ?)
From what 2 expect dot com i received this: "Your lower abdomen is probably just starting to protrude a bit now (though you likely still look less like you're pregnant and more like you've been overdoing the doughnuts). But even if it's still flat as a board (all women start to show at different times — and as you'll find out, all show differently), you're probably finding your jeans aren't buttoning without a struggle. You can blame the hormone progesterone for that tight squeeze (actually, when you're pregnant you can blame the hormone progesterone for just about everything). Though progesterone does a bang-up job in maintaining your healthy pregnancy, some of the less than flattering by-products of all the good it does are bloating… and burping… and passing gas. That's because progesterone relaxes smooth muscle tissue in your body — including the gastrointestinal tract — slowing down digestion to allow more time for the nutrients from food to be absorbed into the bloodstream and passed to your baby. But what's good for baby isn't always good for mom. The uncomfortable fullness you feel in your abdomen, especially after eating, will (sorry) only get worse for some women. As your uterus grows, it'll crowd the stomach and intestines, putting more pressure on the digestive tract, and causing you to feel even more bloated. But here's some consolation: your baby won't feel your pain. In fact, your baby is oblivious to all your intestinal distress, and may even be soothed by the gurgling of your gastric symphony."
Before I received this, I was blaming my pre-natals, now I am reconsidering the blame. So if anyone of you are experiencing this on Progesterone supplements - blame them evil thangs
I have my NT scan Friday, and I can not wait for another opportunity to see my baby and hear the heart beat. I would be completely lying if I said I was cool as a cucumber. I am not a nervous wreck, but I am pretty anxious. I seem to get that way before each scan/appointment. I am still on progesterone and I am going to ask if I still need it. I do not mind taking anything that they think is necessary, but I am definitely paying for a good few college years in all of these continued meds. My insurance will only give me 12 shots of love.nox at a time... PITA... It's $30 every 12 days - just kinda of feels like a scam. So i am making the pharmacy and insurance pretty deep pockets If I have to keep this up to week 30...
The latest development is my sweet tooth. I just do not know how to deal with this. I did the Can.di.da Di.et for so long, then I stopped that but with P.CO.S and my insulin resistance, I was extremely cautious about what I ate. Up until recently the smell of sugar made me want to vomit, now I want Cupcakes, cookies, sugary drinks etc. And I just can not bring myself to indulge. I feel way too guilty. Do not get me wrong, I have one (or 2) a few days a week. But I am trying to explain to my body that this is NOT an ok craving.
I wish I could mail all of you cupcakes, because they were so doggone good.
If you cold, wish me and mini va.nn well for our appointment Friday the 14th. (it is also my grandmother's 79th birthday)
On a side note: My friend Sara is a new blogger but just received a BFN from her first IUI. Stop by and lend her a hand if you have the time.

Oh the glamour
Yesterday, My sister called and asked if we would meet My family for greek food. *we live in a small greek community with excellent good greek food*. Since we had all had turkey and dressing and every vegetable known to man for the past 2 days. Greek food sounded wonderful. So E and I went up and met my Mother, Father, Grandmother, Sister and Boyfriend for lunch. I ordered my usual and a salad. After dinner I asked for a piece of gum due to the LARGE quantity of garlic in the food. The gum was minty flavored and started to turn my stomach a little. I ignored it and went to the grocery store to pick up things for dinner last night. In the grocery store .. things just smelt AWFUL ... i was rushing to get everything we needed and i kept telling E ... I think I am going to "lose it" but I didn't want to because it just felt like "losing it" was going to be worse the second time around. ....... Well we made it out of the grocery store and I had been trying to convince myself to keep it down... Finally, I spit out the gum -because I was just convinced it was the gum .... I yelled at E to pull over quickly and on the side of the road, I lost my lunch .... then the unthinkable happened .... My stomach was spazzing so much that the added pressure totally made me pee myself ............... I was mortified at the time ... because some man pulled over to make sure that we were ok and offered us to come into his house (that we were in front of) to use the rest room. What a kind man... E stated "I am sorry sir, my wife is pregnant and just ate Greek food" ....Anyway, I get back into the car, make it to my parents house, wash my clothes and say goodbye to my sister and her boyfriend. ... .. I guess this is the not so glamorous part people leave out in all those fairy tales huh .... It still makes me laugh about it though ..\
*on a side note- after i realized that I went to a greek restaurant had greek salad and ate Feta cheese..I had a melt down .. It's a soft cheese that I totally forgot about at the moment of being hungry.... I only ate a very small amount but ...freaked out none the less ..
The lo.ve.nox shot are breezy as long as ice is applied and the shot enters my body very slowly! Only one side of my belly bruises.
