What was I saying

February 3rd- Was my 2 yr Blogoversary. I missed it ... Like alot of things these days.

Speaking of missing it. Sarcasm... AF was back this week with avengence. I miss not having to have a period. My body was so kind to me when I didn't have one. Now, it's back and It's heavy and hormonal. This month I spent a few days first yelling lots and being Way overly moody. Fun times. Then found myself hunched over the toilet/trashcan praying to the porcelain goddess. This period has been the worst one in the longest time. In fact, I actually can't remember having a period this bad in years.

Added to the list of things I am missing lately includes, My mind. You hear pregnant woman talking about the pregnant brain, pregnancy fog. Well Mine has gotten progressively worse over the span of the pregnancy/birth. I am now at the point where i have to send myself text messages. I swear to you, the other day. I parked my car for an event and I actually sent myself a text message of the cross streets where my car was parked. IT.IS.THAT.BAD. I started talking with my landlord who had a baby a few weeks before me ..Oh I should mention the reason I was talking to her was Because I forgot that Feb had less days then the other months and forgot to send her our rent check ..... See, It's affecting everything. She mentioned that she also had this "forgetfulness" also along with some other similiar symptoms that I have going on. She went to the Dr a month ago and found out that her thyroid just stopped doing it's job. The Dr said that this is fairly common after pregnancies. So with that mentioned. I think I need to schedule a dr appointment and have things checked out.

It's really an awful feeling to not be totally with it. I mean, not like I ever had it "all together". But Wow, sending texting messages to yourself = a whole new level. Post it notes, for post it note reminders .... The embarassing list goes on

Thanks for playing along with the "what tv show are you addicted to" Posts. I forgot to mention that I am finding enjoyment in United States of Tara and Big Love. I tried to get into the Wire. It is on our On demand option and I just couldn't do it. I got 3 episodes in and lost interest. Tv is my brain escape these days.

Bullets

    Technical:
  • Has anyone else noticed that blogs they joined to follow way back are having to be re-followed?
  • Any opinions on the HTC Touch phones
  • Is blogger eating some of your posts?
  • Any good advice on a cheap printer? I just need it to print on paper no photos.
  • Know any good free software to splice 2 mp3's together for a slideshow?
  • I am thinking about sprucing up the blog a bit when things get calmer around here.
    Child related:
  • We are using this bumper.
  • Other than Formula/Breast Milk, What are you putting in your infant/toddlers sippy cups?
  • Found any bibs that are good and do not have to be laundered?Amy suggested some good ones, I am waiting to receive those.
  • TIP I received today but never thought about - I have been looking for baby/infant Benadryl for a month or more. FYI - You will never could find it. They don;t make it, you have to buy Children's Benadryl. And on the box it says not for children under 2! SO you have to call your ped's office and ask for the dose. Which if you are like me, You may want to have this information. But you may want this info PRIOR to actually needing it. So Go now, Call your ped's office and use a black sharpie and write the dose required on the bottle so when you need it you will not panic! (no we didn't learn this lesson the hard way - Just something that could be dangerous but easily remedied.)
  • The crib - Isn't going well for Naps at all. Not in the least. I am still trying but at this point I have actually scaled back the effort a bit because he was hyper-ventilating and crying so hard when entering his room. Ten days ago, he started crying about getting his diaper changed on his changing table. This escalated to freaking out while entering his room. (before even attempting to get changed.) The past few days, He just loses it when he enters his room for anything during the day. Until he realizes that he is not being laid in the crib. Back story - Before we decided to move him to the crib, we played in his room on the floor for about a week. He was then, just crying about laying on the changing table to have his diaper changed. I had read about negative associations and such so I was trying to help. Bedtime - Bedtime is fine. We lay him down, turn on the monitor (love this monitor/for S.IDS - bought it on c.raigslist), hit the button on this toy and tell him "night night". We do end up making 1 more trip back in there usually. He received this lovie from a shower and I use the frog's hand to rub his face until he gets settled/comfy. After that, he takes over rubbing his face and has been falling asleep. So, I'd say, bedtime is fine.
  • Anyone have a ko.lcraft contours 3 wheel? Do you like it?

    TV
  • High School Reunion - I was watching old episodes of this show on TVland I think. Class of 88. Why would anyone put themselves through that mess again? If you were contacted, Would you go? ME - NO FREAKIN WAY! Even if I got a trip to Hawaii. I was watching and one girl was crying to this guy that made her "feel insecure" when they were in high school. Is there anyone that was never insecure atleast once in high school? I actually felt so sorry for the guy that was having to apologize for every guy in High School that made her feel insecure at some point in High School. She was in tears, He was close to it and i was laughing at the whole scenario hoping it was all "tv'd or scripted up". Because WOW. .. I mean, don't get me wrong, HS is not a walk in the park. I know this. I wasn't the coolest. Fa.cebook as the tendency to pull out some of my insecurities. But not sure I would subject myself to all that all over again.
  • The Co.ugar - Airs April 15th. Creator of the Bachelor for Over 40's. Who's watching?
  • Friday Night Lights? Anyone
  • Any thoughts on the recent Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice episodes
  • What are you watching
  • I admit it, If it's a bad tv show, teenie bopperish or reality program, I will watch at least once. It's an addiction. Like rubbernecking

Not your usual post

Last Night I was flipping through the channels and had my interest peaked when this man (whom I think is a lil dreamy) was talking about how these afri.can cl.awed fr.ogs were shipped around the US and used to help determine if women were pregnant in the 30's and 40's. Seems to be, If you inject the female frog with urine sample from the woman, and the woman is pregnant, it will cause the frog to ovulate and release her eggs 8 to 12 hours after injected. Weird, Huh.. According to the show I was watching and this article , the frogs are all dying to a fungus that is showing up in their bodies of waters. Scientist's and other animal care takers are trying to slow down the process. The part I found interesting was that Jeff and other activist kept referring back to how frogs and humans have a direct relationship with medications, treatments and hormones. They kept speaking of the fertility issues and how frog/human hormones react the same. It was very interesting to me. Then, they went to some stream in Mi.ssouri to search for hel.lbende.rs. The biologist w/ Jeff went on record to say that the male population from this state tends to have a noticeably lower sperm count than the rest of the US. They also stated that the once thriving he.llbe.nder population also have decreased over the years due to their low sperm count as well.

Also there was a certain type of female frog that ended up dying because there was not a male frog available to provide her with sex to help her release all of her eggs. My husband pointed out that it is possible to die from lack of sex ..... I assured him, he was not a female frog and his body would not explode or suffocate because he had too many eggs on the inside crushing his organs .... Men

Is it all propaganda? ... I dunno. I was not on their research team, I am unsure how they conducted all their information, but do I believe the impacts of environment on our fertility systems .. Yes I do... What do you think?

**things I have been meaning to document - Coming back from vacation has been a bit challenging.

MT is now up to eating about 6 oz every 3 - 4 hours now. I am actually very excited about that because feeding every 2-3 hours is extremely exhausting. He is starting to enjoy tummy time and we are trying to work on his roll over. He is “talking” up a storm now. He will have full fledged conversations with us. It is really hilarious. Last night, he jabbered on and on for about 45 mins. He has discovered his belly laughs. I absolutely cannot wait to make a video of this. I swear, It’s close to being the best thing in the world. He is still doing a great job sleeping at night. (we found that putting a long sleeve/footy onesie on helped tremendously - or socks) Nights w/o dressed like this he wakes up so much earlier. (I was just afraid to get him too warm in worries and paranoid of sids and being that we live in FL - It gets HOT) He is getting better about taking naps (longer than 10 mins) during the day. Some days are more difficult than others. He still has many of those days that once you get him to sleep, lay him down and his eyes pop right back open … but they are getting better. His 4 month appointment is Oct 15th. We we will an official height/weight check then. I am going to asked about when to start introducing solids to him at that appointment and see what their opinions are. I really need to research this solids/feeding stuff. I have no idea what to expect or do or believe. So much controversial topics with raising babies. It's hard to find the facts sometimes while digging through others' agendas and emotions when reading and researching. I am all about opinions and suggestions but some time's the article get down right forceful and judgemental.

Our lil yeast infection seems to be gone for now. I won't lie, I was worried. I thought my supply took a huge hit, but today pumping seems back to normal and we only had to dip into the frozen supply for one day and then we only needed 4 oz. It was a struggle the past few days. I was really contemplating quitting . I did not think I wanted to work that hard at establishing a supply again. I really felt defeated and deflated. It was tough enough the first time around.

Fall is here, I just wish the weather was cool and the leaves change colors. One thing I wish we could have here. I saw pumkpins in the store today and laughed. I mean, I guess I could decorate with it and not cut it open but i still think the Fl heat and bugs would enjoy it way longer than I would at this point

Ok, what is everyone watching this fall? So far the list is:
The New 90210
Gossip Girl
Priveledged
The Mentalist - I think I am in love
Lipstick Jungle
Brothers and Sisters
Dirty Sexy Money
I am sure there are others I just can't think right now

Hodge Podge

1- WARNING TMI Alert- The past week I noticed my nips were getting more and more sore after every pump. I chalked it up to using a new pump. Yesterday I went back to pumping on the symphony. A few pumps into it and I noticed that my left nip started to bleed. I am not sure why but I called E's name and he came over after that I have no real recollection of what happened until I found myself laying in my bed. Apparently, *or obviously) I passed out. It was NOT that much blood at all. it was a teeeny weeny droplet. I am unsure if it was from the pain, the blood, the stress I have been under lately or what. After I was told was happened and collected myself, I drank LOTS Of water and relaxed the rest of the day.
*After a few phone calls, message boards and emails, I have decided it was a combination of the new pump rubbing my skin so I need new bigger horns, and I believe to have yeast. My stored supply may take a dip since I was so traumatized yesterday I didn't pump at all after the big drama. Thank God my husband was home. Please let me and my body be up and running again soon. I am using this .. So We are all purple ..

2- I have this stroller, It is great. I have not had any problems with it. It is definitely a light weight stroller and we enjoy it often .... BUT I keep eyeing this other stroller. I go walking pretty much every day and I can see the lightweight stroller is not made for this type of activity. I am obsessing this one at the moment. Anyone have any comments about this one? Or Suggestions for a good one.

3- My mother is not doing well again. Hormones are evil.. Multiple Dr's still think this was brought on by me.nopau.se. School has started and of course, it had to be an ordeal. They built a new school, she had to re-set up her brand new classroom. No chalkboards and overhead projectors. All new technology and gizmo's. *this is a woman who hates email and computers. So she is overwhelmed trying to learn the new technology .. THEN worse part, They received a new curriculum. She is having to read and do all new curriculum and she is so far overwhelmed she is having panic/anxiety attacks. Once again, we are in the process of weaning her off a med in order to put her on a different (hopefully better) one. The Dr's agreed that she was being over medicated, So they want to bring her dose down so they can start her on a different kind of med. A mood stabilizer. I really do hope she finds comfort in this new drug. I am told that getting her on this new med will take 2 months if all goes well. I am SO not looking forward to me.nopause .. Frankly I am quite scared of what this means for me.

4- We have been using cloth diapers of and on for a week now. I have to say, I am a HUGE fan. We have In.dian prefol.ds and b.umm.is covers , bu,mge.nious 3.0's m and g diapers. My favorite is the bumgenious'. They are expensive for a set up cost, but SUPER absorbent and very durable and easy to clean. I have a few leaks with the g diapers, but that is mostly because of the breastfeeding. It really doesn't seem that taxing to me to wash them. I know lots of people say they are such a pain. I guess you could say they are an inconvenience because you have to carry it around until you get home, but is that really a huge deal?

Well, Laundry is done, dishes are clean, but ti.vo is full.. Going to clear it off and put my feet up

How to pass time at work when you are the only one here

Obsessing over TV....Ok Ok Ok ..i know.. how shallow of me:

But I am worried about my TV shows and my d.v.r:

I saw that some new show was coming in January after Desperate Housewives and I Panicked! Br.other.s and Si.ster is supposed to. It one of my more adult, favorite shows and I could not bare the thought of it not coming back. After much research, It seems the show is doing so well, they are moving nights. Monday nights. So everyone watching make sure your tivo/dvr is set for Jan 7th instead.

Anyone seen this movie? It is an independent film and also an exclusive through It.unes. I have never ordered anything off It.unes. I may now because I really want to see this movie.

ALSO – I am so pissed that I missed the finale of Cl.ash of the Ch.oi.rs and it can not be seen on the n.bc webpage. It was THEIR fault for labeling it the wrong thing .. not my ti.v.o’s!!! I missed the most beautiful man win!! (yes I said it.. I am crushin on mr la.che.y)

As for the cor.nish hens, my husband said they turned out "perfect"..He used the p word ..wow, he must have been hungry ;)

E got me a great gift for Christmas, I got this. Made me so happy. I also got one of those digital picture frame and a digital picture key chain. Hey you think people figured out I like taking pictures or what?!?! I can't wait to give E's lil brothers their gift. We won't see them until the 4th but I am so excited to see their faces. It's a video game that involves using a gu.itar as a controller ;) What was your favorite gift to get and what what was your favorite gift to give?

Weekend Update

I accidentially stumbled on a television show that I absolutely LOVE. Its called Footballer's Wive$. It is on the BBC channel and I fancy it !!! It's like Desparate Housewives meets Sex and the City on cable (has a plot with a point and awesome scenery)

They had a marathon last sunday and I got to tape all the episodes in what i think is season 2. (what i think is) Season 3 started wednesday. They seem to be running season 2 also at midnight on saturday nights as well.. I noticed extra recordings on my tiv.o and they were the same episodes. If anyone is looking for good trash tv... I'm your woman (I should be ashamed of myself I know)

I also saw knocked up yesterday. This movie (although a touchy subject for myself, my husband, and everyone reading) was insanely hilarious. Some could veiw it as a little insensitive and insulting - But for the most part, there is FAR more funny involved. And at the end of the 2 hours, It was a movie which provided my alot of laughter on topic that has a tendency to be The White Elephant in any room I seem to be in lately.

I bought 2 books this weekend: Waiting for Daisy and A Few Good Eggs. I cant' wait to finish them. I started with Waiting for Daisy first.
It is CD31 - I guess i have to hold out 10 more day gauging on past cycles. They are about 36-45 days long the past couple months. I really thought metformi.n was supposed to regulate them... Maybe its ok for them to be 36-45 days apart !?!?

Potpourri

As a suggestion from JJ, I sent my husband the same abbreviations and requested that he tell me what each mean. Poor guy, I know he listens to me?!?! Enjoy his responses ;)

AF – Always Faithful
IVF – In Vetro Fertilization
IUI – Inner Uterine Insert
IF – Test tube baby (mix than insert)
PG – Pregnant Girl
TTC – Trying To Conceive
DPO – drug I can't say
BFP – Bastard F***in Period
BFN – Bloody Flowing Nastiness
POAS – The thing that is wrong with my wife's ovaries
OPT – Ovarian Pulminary Test
CD – Clomid
BD – Bloody Discharge

After I watched Gilmore Girls (live because I have visions of my Tivo failing me) and the recorded Dancing with the Stars last night, our TV in the bedroom seriously blew up. They voted a person off (don't want to say who just incase people haven't watched it yet) and we heard a very loud snap/crackle followed by a disturbing electrical fire smoke smell. My husband said he thought it was from the tv but I assured him the tv was fine BECAUSE IT WAS STILL ON .... little did I know about 45 seconds later, that we would be screaming/laughing/panicking about something catching on fire in the inside of the TV which provided smoke and flames shooting out the sides of the TV ( i made a comment about this being more exciting then the finale) ...... Needless to say, today, I got a new TV today

*I can't promise but , I think this will be the only time I will mention Gilmore Girls finale ..... Huuummmm, Not much to say really. I think as a fan of all seven seasons, I deserved alittle more closure than that. On a positive note, it had all its Old Funnies/fast talkin back in it. If the writing could have been that good all 7th season then it would not have needed to end......... OK, now I think I feel better ;)

On a side note, We are currently looking for our mailbox key. Apparrently vacation makes you somewhat forgetful and ditzy because ever since we came back from vacation .. neither one of us can locate our mailbox key .. thus I cannot check my mail .. hopefully I will be able soon, I was looking forward to the postcards ... ... My life, It's never ending chaos

Endings ..... with Possiblities

Today is it ..... Gilmore Girls will be O.V.E.R. I have been an avid watcher(even through the rough seasons of bad writing). My My.space page has been an ode to them from time to time. (along with its unique address)
It feels as if I should have a going away party for my family members. I understand that they are just fictional characters, but I really got sucked in long ago. My mother used to have to record them and Dawson Creek and send me the VCR tapes because when I went away to school, the town did not get the W.B at that time. (sad huh, I went to a big place for school - it wasn't back woods - i swear) I use TV to relax. I get way too involved into the shows I watch and I am very loyal. I will watch the show even when its just plain BAD .. then I will make fun of myself after I watch. A limited # of TV Shows/Movies (and sometimes music) just have this trance effect on me. They allow me to just stop thinking for a while and relax- which is VERY hard for me to do otherwise. Gilmore Girls (for the most part) allowed me to do that .. and it will be missed - But If I can't find any other shows that have this effect on me, I do have all seasons on dvd except this last one ;)

On the TTC front - Its like CD4 and we have decided not to do cl.omid yet. We are going to wait one more month. That will be 3 full months on met.formin, and my no caffeine/sugars/yeast diet. I feel much better. I have lost 25 lbs. (going on vacation, i think, made me just maintain my weight and not lose any). My cycle this month although was a little more emotionally painful due to its bad timing, but physically has been quite delightful. YES i said Delightful ... So far no need to run home and change clothes from an unlikely mishap ( like I have had to do in the past). I have not been incredibly moody, or crampy. What I am saying, * i guess* is that AF has not been an unruly visitor thus far ..... and I hope that she stays fairly decent the next couple of days and then I hope she delights in the FL sunlight and schemes with my ovaries and they decide to produce me a nice plump follicle ... wouldn't that just be grand ...

*i gave a link to my my.space page -if you didn't figure that out. It has some vacation pictures - until I can figure out how to post some here

Losing my mind ...

I am sorry if yesterdays post was WAY more graphic then anyone wanted to know about me - I don't have any real life infertile friends at all ..... and I OBVIOUSLY need one to two ..... Sorry again for that ... I was just panicking and my degree from the Google University and the University of Common Sense was failing me. *plus I was heavily medicated*

I need to figure out how to link texts to things and post pictures .... I am working on that ....

Ok so I told you way back that I have a tv addiction, Anyone watch Friday Night Light's? Very good show, if you have not seen it, I suggest watching it.

I have been watching October Road on ABC at 10 pm on Thursday nights - love the first like 3 episodes ...... found out tonight that it wont air but some show about "notes from the underbelly" will be playing instead. It is a show about a couple who finds out they are pregnant and weren't trying nor really fully sure they want to be pregnant and the etc. ..... LIKE TV NEEDS ANOTHER SHOW ABOUT THIS .. ........................ I should include it's going to be a comedy sitcom ... oh, boy won't it be a hoot and comic relief .... Unfortunately I'm just bitter - AND will probably watch because I am massacistic.
